After reading several reviews, I was a little skeptical about trying Beach & La Mirada Car Wash,…read morebut the location was convenient, so I decided to give it a chance. To be fair, I did visit toward the end of the day, so it's possible the staff was tired. However, after paying for a hand car wash, I expected a higher level of attention to detail. When I got home, I noticed grime still stuck to my windshield and several areas that had clearly been missed during the hand-drying process. I drive a Tesla, which is a relatively straightforward vehicle to wash because of its simple body lines. That should make it easier to spot leftover dirt and ensure the vehicle is thoroughly dried. Instead, it felt like the focus was on moving quickly to the next vehicle rather than taking a few extra minutes to make sure the job was complete. Considering the price of the service, I expected better quality and attention to detail. Convenience brought me here this time, but quality is what brings customers back. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I'll probably drive a little farther next time for a car wash that puts more emphasis on the finished product.

When I opened it, the cup holder was broken and pulled apart. I reported it to the manager before leaving. He said they'd take care of it and told me to get a quote from Mercedes. I did what he asked. The Mercedes quote was $1,120.99. When I brought it back, the owner wouldn't come out to meet me and later denied it by email, based only on his employee's word. He sent the same denial again two weeks later. I've asked twice in writing for his insurance information and never received it. I was never refunded for the wash either. Over a month later, there's still no resolution. If you drive a new or high-end car, think twice before leaving it here.

The service was friendly, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. My problem is that none of them were approached by an employee. Not at check-in, not anywhere. I (a young woman) spent a *little* extra time because I couldn't find my credit card at the stall (I've been a regular here) and I was approached by a male employee who proceeded to tell me how to use a card reader like I was an idiot. Seriously, I told him when he walked up "I don't need help I was just trying to find my card." And he proceeded to LURK and then say "you swipe it in, then pull it out." HELLO?? If you were equal opportunity condescending then ok that's you, but I watched, waited, and noticed if anybody else got that treatment. I typically get the "ultimate" which used to be like $35 and now it's $60. It gets run through the wash and they wipe it all down and then vacuum and wipe everything on the inside. It's always good enough work but sometimes I do leave extra happy with it. Went today around 1pm and I would not go when they're so busy again! I typically go during a week/work day and it's not busy. I was there for an hour and a half today. But there were a lot of cars so I knew there would be a wait when I chose to still go in. The service is always great though - everyone greets you and is friendly and even when leaving, people are always saying have a great day. Variety of seating inside and outside. They do detailing here but I have not gotten that done but you can check out all that they offer through what people have posted here or on their website.

The inside waiting area was air conditioned and comfortable. The outside waiting area is also very spacious. The workers here are also all nice.
