He bought the business' hatdearned reputation and much to his advantage, two dedicated and skilled painters. The female crew member whose rural and empoverished homelife groomed her to see the ability to overextend herself as a sole source of worth, willingly suffered misogony via multiple channels including: pay despairity, various styles of verbal assault ranging from sexual harrassment to gas lit delineation of reality , and a disproportionate distribution of responsibility to her rather than her male counterparts. Distracted by forced deadlines, emphasis on speed rather than real craft and working for someone I could not respect, I was blindsided by bigotry while working on an exterior project at Don's residence. My soul's assailant: a large blackface lawn ornament laid out before me. Struck dumb by the hatred and bloody echoes eminating from the artifact, my heart revealed what my mind had veiled: Don's misogyny, his solicitation of skilled labor AND racism grew from a common source of evil no part of me would entertain much less assist. I quit soon after. No call no show. A resignation as shameful as my silence in the face of passive aggressive oppression. I failed as the mother of a black son, failed as the beloved daughter of Cincinnati's radical and self empowered feminist family and dishonored generations of dedication and skilled trade excellence. Thank you Yelp for providing this opportunity to warn potential clients of the dark and morally destructive entity living behind Don's jolly and childlike agreeability, vocabulary choices basic enough to mimic modesty, and low ball bids that secure the income earned off the backs of the very workers bearing the burden of his blindeyed, poorly planned and consistently inrealistic project deadlines.

Was a unique situation since we were moving and would have Delmar coming in after we were out of town. He went above and beyond, taking a look at the baseboards and touching up the areas that I hadn't marked when we moved out. Delmar was flexible. It wasn't a normal job since we were out of town. He was comfortable with the arrangement and called or texted with questions since we were out of town getting set up in our new home. Delmar is trustworthy. He let me know of an issue at the end of the day. The paint color was the wrong sheen and he discovered it at 10:00PM. I'm sure some people may have called it good enough and wrapped up. Delmar did not. He called me to tell me what was wrong, went back to the paint store in the morning, and finished up the following day. Again, I wasn't there and wasn't going to be checking the work. He knew that. He could have left well-enough alone. He did the job right! If you're looking for excellent craftsmanship, with a painter who is flexible to your individual situation, and who you can trust to do the job right for a reasonable price, then look no further than Delmar at 7 Days Painting!

The owner of the company came out one evening to look at the rooms to be painted and we agreed on what I felt was a fair price. They gave me a time to expect them on the day they were to paint and arrived 5 minutes early (extra star for this). I found them to be very efficient, as well as skilled in their trade. The team of two were able to start and finish the project in just 1 day. Not a single drip hit our hardwood floors and the walls look amazing.
