Bruce Lee was such an inspiration to so many. I love so many of his quotes and did you know he even wrote poetry?! Here's my favorite of his poems: The doubters said, "Man can not fly," The doers said, "Maybe, but we'll try," And finally soared In the morning glow While non-believers Watched from below. "Your inspiration continues to guide us toward our personal liberation" is inscribed on his headstone and is a lovely tribute. His son Brandon is buried next to him and it's definitely worth a visit - the site is very peaceful with a nice bench if you'd like to stay a while to pay your respects. Their grave sites are on a hill with lovely views of Lake Washington. The cemetery is called Lake View Cemetery and it's in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle near Volunteer Park. The cemetery also holds some of Seattle's founding fathers. 10,000+ people a year visit the grave but it was largely uncrowded during my visit in winter. There were flowers and many trinkets on their graves so there are definitely lots of visitors. The pathways and roads in the cemetery are pretty narrow and there are No Parking signs around the Lee's grave. But there are wider paths nearby with room to park. I've been to Seattle countless times and never knew Bruce & Brandon Lee were buried here! It never came up in any of my trip-planning searches until I went down a Google rabbit hole of historic cemeteries in Seattle lol. I'd say it's a must see - for any Bruce Lee fans especially but even non-fans would enjoy it too.

One of the things I wanted to do when I came back to Seattle was to pay my respects to the legendary martial artist - Bruce Lee, & his son Brandon Lee. The gravesite is located at the Lake View Cemetery, and although I didn't know exactly where Bruce Lee & his son Brandon were buried, I must say it was pretty easy to find, as their grave site had a pathway, and it is corded off by a black iron guardrail (easy to find). Note: there is no sign indicating on where Bruce Lee & Brandon Lee are buried, so if you're walking around the graveyard, just look for the black iron guardrail that cords off their resting place. I must say the Lake View Cemetery is a very beautiful resting place........ If you're a big fan of Bruce Lee, or his son Brandon Lee, it's worth the trip to visit and pay your respects to them.

11.30.24 Both men died far too soon, but it's right and appropriate that their final resting places are so close to one another

Remembering Bruce Lee [Seattle WA] Interred next to his son, Brandon Lee, both father and son, side by side. We came to visit the gravesites on Saturday, 11/30/24, 3 days after Bruce Lee's birthday (Nov 27), he would've been 84 years old. Upon our arrival at the cemetery it wasn't hard to find because it turns out we were not the only ones who wanted to pay respect, there were other fans of Bruce Lee too. The headstones have metal fencing around it and a wheelchair accessible ramp that leads to the gravesites. Parking could be difficult as the streets are a bit tight. I followed Bruce Lee's movie achievements because my brother was a huge fan since his breakout movie, Fist of Fury, found success in the U.S. We watched reruns of The Green Hornet as Kato. Bruce Lee remains the most recognized martial artist of the twentieth century. I don't know much about his son, Brandon Lee, but how tragic and unfortunate to have died so young. Visiting his grave site was one of the things I wanted to accomplish while in Seattle. I was thankful for the opportunity to visit. Review #3617

Today was my 42nd birthday, and as a present my wife brought me to Bruce Lee's favorite restaurant, and then took me to see his grave. I found it so inspiring that people still come and pay their respects to him and his son. The words on his son's grave were especially touching.when we arrived there was a few other people there so we gave them space to have moment but after they cleared out we had our moments alone with Bruce and Brandon, and I really found a new respect in that.

I didn't realize Bruce Lee and his son Brandon Lee were buried in Seattle until my visit and looking up things to do. Their gravesites are situated in Lake View Cemetery, next to Volunteer Park, in the middle of the cemetery towards the top of the small hill. Cherry blossoms were in peak bloom during my visit and the picture is from the angle at the gravesite. Glad to have been able to pay my respects to a Chinese legend and his son and on such a beautiful day in Seattle

I googled top things to do in Seattle and this was on the list, so I figured WHY NOT I was a huge Brandon Lee fan (had a crush on him) So sad that Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee passed away at a young age It was nice to be able to come here and pay homage

Even though Bruce Lee passed before many of our times and then his son met a tragic end, their contributions through film, martial arts and philosphy have stuck. "Real living is living for others" - Bruce Lee - This quote among many others resonates with me, particularly because of the work I do. I often think of changing my line of work, but I know whatever it may be it will be trying to help others. You can live for yourself, but being able to show an altruistic side is very powerful, perhaps even more or at least comparable to self-improvement. It's all very philosophical and beyond watching Bruce's movies, practicing Martial Arts myself and reading about his philosophies, finding that his memorial site was here, I wanted to make a visit. The site itself is modest. A local warned me that it would be "very crowded". Perhaps at times it is, but on my visit there was a family with 3 or 4 kids bopping around, likely clueless as to whose site they were visiting. They soon left and I was able to get in and read the epitaphs with a couple others trickling in. There is a slight incline leading down, (making it wheelchair accessible) into the area where about 4 adults could stand and a bench to sit on. The area is well cared for, and flowers and other gifts are left at the site by other visitors. The site must be entered through the cemetery entrance. It was a pleasant, peaceful experience.

Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee Gravesite - Seattle, Washington Bruce Lee...The Man, The Myth I have been a Bruce Lee fan since childhood and even studied Jeet Kune Do. I watched all of Bruce's movies, including the one where most the movie was played by someone else (aka Game of Death). That said...Bruce Lee's gravesite was one of my longtime bookmarks and I finally had the opportunity to visit the site during our last stay in Seattle. Bruce Lee's tombstone is located inside Lake View Cemetery and is a must if you're a Bruce and Brandon Lee fan or just want to pay your respects. Finding the gravesite wasn't too difficult. The gravesite is about halfway to the top of the hill. I saw a handful of people in line taking photos and figured they were taking photos of Bruce Lee's gravesite. I was right. Bruce and Brandon Lee's tombstones are beautifully made. Bruce's tombstone includes a photo of him and what I assume is the book of Jeet Kune Do at the base. There's also a bench dedicated by his wife and daughter. Regardless of whether you're a fan or not, I recommend a visit to Bruce and Brandon Lee's gravesite. 2025 Yelp Review #7

RIP to the legend. Very humble to visit Bruce Lee's grave site along with his son, Brandon Lee. Google maps did a great job navigating directly to the grave sit. Parking's a little tricky here, there's a do no park sign right next the tombstone. So you'll have to park a little further out and walk over to the site. It's a very beautiful memorial area. My deepest respects.

Not sure why people gave it low ratings. It's a gravesite not a tourist attraction. I'm sure people won't like it if people gave low ratings to their relatives' gravesites. Yes parking is limited and narrow. Again, don't be expecting a huge parking lot with a massive flashing sign that points to their memorials. Their memorial was nice, we brought some flowers over. Remember to be respectful.

Growing up and being a kid in the 80's. I'm a Bruce Lee fan by I guess, default. Watched all his movies. So much wisdom in his words. Life cut too short! I didn't realize he was actually buried in Seattle along with his son, Brandon. Had to check it out while I was here. I walked to the Cemetery so don't follow google or Apple Maps because it'll lead you to the property fence. You'll have to walk around to the entrance! It's a trek depending on where you start. Again, important to know before you go- walking directions from Apple/Google will lead you wrong. Unless you can magically walk thru fences, of course! Ha!

Easier to get here than you'd think. I just put it on my gps & it lead me straight to their gravesites! There was a few ppl there & wasn't too crowded. Parking sucks! There is practically no parking & cars weaving in & out of there. The streets were pretty narrow. We got there, stood out there for a bit to pay our respects, took photos then left. Legendary. Definitely a spot you wouldn't want to miss!

If you grew up in the 80's you watched Bruce Lee movies. The way he moved, kicked, and jumped. He had a confidence on screen that made you instantly respect him. That's why when you hear about his untimely death and the accidental death of his son Brandon Lee, it was important to visit and pay respects. I've enjoyed, Enter the Dragon, Fist of Fury and more. From his son I loved the Crow. Bruce and Brandon, you were a part of my childhood. I hope a future generation gets to enjoy your movies and life as well.
