I hired Mr. Johnson after I received a reckless driving ticket in Virginia. In Virginia, reckless driving is a misdemeanor that can carry 6 demerit points, a $2,500 fine, driver's license suspension for 6 months, and up to 12 months of jail time. I was referred to Mr. Johnson by another attorney who did not practice in Virginia. When I contacted Mr. Johnson I learned that his offices were located in Maryland and I am located in Virginia. Mr. Johnson represented my son on a first degree murder charge, or so he says. He did not keep him apprised of what was going on. As a matter of fact, he didn't tell my son that he received the results of the DNA tests on the day of sentencing. That's right, Mr. Johnson did not tell my son that the State's Attorney handed him the results of the DNA testing on the day of sentencing. Why is this important?
