Browsers must be among my favourite bookshops.
A key stopping point on any trip to Wales, I can usually be counted on to leave with a box full of books.
Things I like about the shop is a willingness to recommend, the friendliness of the staff and the proprietors, as well as a stock of useful greeting cards in the back.
The worst thing I can say about Browsers is that it's not on my doorstep, although I dearly wish it were.
The shop offers a good section of fiction, both classic and contemporary, and fortunately goes easy on the airport literature.
A small poetry section and a selection of good quality reference books complement the literature.
On the right as you enter is a large display of what might be termed "local" books. These have to do with local history, the local railways, the sea and related items. Always worth looking at if you want to take a little Cambrian air home with you.
An altogether delight experience. read more
