A good sale price in my hometown would be about 5.99 a lb. Even the other meat products for sale here did seem pricey considering there is a prominent slaughter house across the street from this place. I'm satisfied that they buy directly from them and cut out the middleman! I didn't see anything that wasn't fresh or that didn't look nice! The people employed here are knowledgeable and friendly! Bulk items are also available and cover quite a few categories! I recommend this butcher shop!

Upon entry, I observed what appeared to be a standard convenience store with a butcher shop attached! There was a refrigerated meat display case. I only saw a few steaks and they were on the upper end of affordability. The most impressive feature about this place was a very large assortment of bacon! All different flavors and cuts are available! The most diversified selection that I've ever seen! A bacon lover would go absolutely bananas in here! I do recommend this store especially to those folks who can't live without their daily bacon!

Amazingly, they have employed some really helpful and courteous people. The hourly paid store associates get five stars from me. I'd be hard pressed to give two stars to their superiors! The one outstanding and redeeming quality about Ingles is their wonderful sub sandwiches. They use Boar's Head meats. They save the day for Ingles! This stuff is far and beyond better than the meats used at nationally recognizable sub restaurants. It's better than good; it's unreal! Ingles; you still have a long way to go to being on the same level as Publix! Keep serving that fantastic Boar's Head meats on your subs! I'll continue to hang in there with you!

My wife needed some and she got rather specific about it! When a loved one is feeling iIl, I'll go to great lengths to try and make them feel better. I visited so many stores so fast that Yelp wouldn't let me check in to all of them. Back to the review. They didn't have what I needed. There were very few cough drops and almost no liquid cold medicine. I spent a few moments checking out the rest of the store. It was reasonably well stocked; other than what I needed. Their lettuce was in an unacceptable condition; mostly rotten. But the rest of their produce looked pretty good. I like this store and usually get what I need. Today was an exception. I dinged them one star.

Rustic interior with wooden benches and tables, across several seating areas and an outside patio. We were greeted walking in and seated in the same moments, our server was kind and attentive. We started with an appetizer, their Jalapeno Cheddar Hush Puppies. A nice serving of golden brown pups and a dipping sauce. Great flavor and just a hint of spicy heat. A good start. After giving the menu a good read, I opted for the Calabash Shrimp and Flounder. Its another solid choice if you're there for the seafood. A nice meal with golden fried shrimp, a couple flounder filets with hush puppies, slaw and potato salad, cocktail and tartar sauce. This is good comfort food cooking and it works. I think the wait staff has good intentions, but if the place is busy, you will sit there for 90 minutes waiting for the most simple order to be fulfilled by the kitchen, assuming you even get everything you ordered.
