Teresa Jo Brown's first job was in 1967 at Joe Brown Company, the family business. She graduated from Ardmore High School and attended Oklahoma Baptist University in 1973, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. and taught at Moore High School. She then attended the University of Oklahoma Law School. In 1978 she received her Juris Doctorate degree and practiced law for 15 years. In 1993 she became president of Joe Brown Company. The dedication to the job that she had when she practiced law, she took to her new vocation in the trucking and construction industry. In an industy where few women succeed, Teresa, as President of Joe Brown Company, is leading her company into the 21st century with new equipment and technology. She is the third generation of the Brown family to sit at its helm.
