Comparing the new unit to the old one, the new unit runs way less and is so much more powerful and efficient than the 30 year old unit. They even took the old unit with them and their commitment to service and doing a great job is second to none. Today, 02/07/2025 Cameron of Humphrey Air Conditioning came out this afternoon (I called them earlier today) and replaced a blower motor on the other air/heat conditioning unit and as always did an outstanding job within a timely manner. When having air/heat conditioning problems I call nobody but Humphrey Air Conditioning. Jeff Townsend Omaha, Texas

Thompson installed my HVAC many years ago. I was a happy, satisfied customer, until my recent…read moreexperience. My system stopped working and Thompson sent out a tech. He said I needed a new thermostat, which he installed. Problem 1. I was charged $169.50 for the service call (which was okay) plus $157.50 for a simple, non-programmable thermostat. I found the exact same thermostat for sale elsewhere for $42. Problem 2. After the tech left, I noticed smudges and scratches on the thermostat. He installed a used thermostat! (I guess that is why it didn't come with a box or owners manual.) Problem 3. The thermostat did not work properly. Thompson sent me a replacement (a new one this time), but that one didn't work, either. Problem 4. When I told Thompson that the new thermostat also didn't work, they said they could send a tech out to see what the problem was, but that I would be charged another service call fee. Problem 5. Instead of paying another service fee, I bought another very similar thermostat (but different brand) for less than $30 and installed it myself. It works fine. Of course, I don't need the defective thermostat that I got from Thompson, but Thompson would not allow me to return that thermostat for a refund. If this hadn't happened to me, I never would have imagined that any business would treat a long time customer like Thompson treated me. Furthermore, Thompson has been totally unapologetic for this episode.
