A lovely experience and a beautiful shop, I have been twice to Broughtons Bridals . 1st time it was my first time looking for my dream dress , I had never tried on before and Sam helped and gave me great advice on what style to suit my shape and my personality and if the dress would suit the style of wedding we were planning. I found my dream dress in this shop and I have to say Sam choose this one out for me, but with it being my first appointment , I wanted to think about it and try some more on in other shops. Sam was not pushy at all and I felt really relaxed and very excited about trying on more dresses as I had a great time here. I went to two other bridal shops and was so disappointed as we were given disc's to put on the dresses we wanted to try on and had no suggestions of any others to try on. One lady lost interest when I said I think I had found the dress in another shop and would not let me try any others on, I had only tried on 4 dresses at this point. A very different experience from my first one. The second shop again I was not given any other suggestions on any other dresses except what I had chosen[ nice lady but no advice and she said I looked nice in everything and I didn't, felt a bit like she would sell me anything] I went back to see Sam & Mick and again and got a lovely warm welcome and I bought my dress from them and it was the one Sam chose or me. My wedding is not until December this year and my experience with Broughtons bridals has been perfect, I am so shocked at the review before mine as this sounds like another shop and not a customer. I have two friends that bought their wedding dresses from Sam in the past and have had excellent customer service and they recommended me to see Sam first. I live in Scholes and so happy the shop has moved to Garforth although I would have visited them in Shadwell. To all brides don't be put off by the last review as I know Sam has had problems with hoax callers making appointments and problems with other bridal shops in the area trying to give them a bad name. Don't believe any of it, trust me she is always full on Saturday's and I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment as Sam and Mick have a great reputation. I am proof. It was my 1st time trying on dresses on Saturday and we had booked into 3 bridal shops. I arrived at Broughton's Bridals at 10am and was quite nervous, but I was made to feel at ease as soon as we arrived. We were taken up stairs to a lovely private bridal area, which was beautiful and lots of stunning dresses to choose from. The owner was so lovely asking me questions and advising me of styles and dresses that would suit my shape and the style of wedding we were having without being pushy and listening to what I wanted [which at that point I was not sure] I did find the most perfect dress and within my budget which the owner choose out for me , it was not one I or my mum had picked for me to try on. It was my 1st appointment so I wanted to go and look at the other two shops, but after going to the 2nd shop I knew I wanted the my dress from Broughton's. My 2nd experience was quite different with 3 other brides trying on gowns at the same time and kids and people everywhere, It was like a sale shop, the dresses were dirty and looked like they had been there forever and the staff gave me discs to put on the dresses I wanted to try on. Nothing like the wonderful time I had the 1st time. Me and Mum decided not to go to the 3rd shop and cancelled it. We called Broughton's back to see if we could come back today and they were so helpful. We could not get in until later as they were fully booked and I know why. We went back and received exactly the same service we had the 1st time and I bought my dream dress. We have booked back in to order our suits too next week. THE BEST BRIDAL SHOP! Broughtons was the final shop of the day and I was starting to get to the point where wedding dresses were swimming in front of my eyes and was feeling a little stressed and weary. We walked into Sam's shop and I immediatley started to feel calmer! I loved the fact that the rails weren't crammed full of dresses - so you could actually look at them properly! Both Sam and her assistant (sorry I can't remember her name) were so friendly yet professional. Sam gave some much needed advice when required but also knew when to leave you to it. She was never pushy or gushing (I hate that!!!). I really, really enjoyed myself in there and Sam really does know her stuff. In fact she picked my dress out for me as I had just walked past it when on the hanger! She had a knowing look and smile on her face when I put it on but didn't say a word until we'd all made comments (and after mum started to cry)!!! She made me feel like a million dollars and it was like I was the only person she'd ever sold a dress to (which to be honest is how it should be but how it so often isn't in other shops). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sam and her wonderful shop. I'm really looking forward to my fittings with her as she's such a laugh and I can't wait till my dress arrives! read more

I was a bridesmaid for my sister's wedding and I must admit, before visiting Broughton's Bridals, I was a little apprehensive as I'd never been to a bridal boutique before and being a larger lady, was wondering what style of dress I'd end up with. But from the minute I went into the shop, Sam made us feel relaxed and the whole experience was just brilliant. Sam understood my concerns and chose the perfect dresses for both of us. I loved my dress as it virtually changed my shape and I felt amazing on my sister's wedding day! And it didn't break the bank either. We always loved going to see Sam as it was always fun and informal and I miss visitng the shop as Sam is so friendly! Sam is a true expert on everything bridal without being patronising. Broughton's Bridals is virtually a "one stop wedding shop". My sister bought her tiara and underwear from Sam as she knows what accessories will match your dress. She stocks everything including shoes and some beautiful jewellery so you won't need to hoof it all over Leeds to find your accessories. I can't recommend Broughton's Brials highly enough! When it's my turn to shop for a Wedding Dress, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! I would say Broughton's Bridals is unique, you won't find a better experience like it anywhere else! read more

I went to this shop as a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. I was made to feel special, important and welcome whether on the phone, e-mail or in person. Sam and Mick treat you like an old friend and cannot do enough for you. I was due to attend their sample sale which sadly got cancelled due to the snow but they made repeated attempts to contact me to make sure I was ok and arrange an appointment on a different day still offering the special prices. I went back twice in one week and they could not be any kinder, happier more accommodating people, who are obviously passionate about their business and their clients. A wedding is very personal and the service is exactly that. The range of dresses is excellent available for all budgets and sizes, the accessories are also lovely and their is an extensive bridesmaid/ flower girl/ communion dresses range as well as a good menswear stock for sale or hire. I would thoroughly recommend a trip to this shop if you want to be treated like an individual, as a valued special person not just a customer, with care and patience where nothing is too much trouble and they cannot do enough for you. Trying to find your perfect wedding dress is so difficult, everyone says "you will just know when you try the one for you". No one could have been more helpful than Samantha at Broughton's Bridals in Leeds. She knew exactly what i wanted and worked so hard to assist me in my search. After finding me my dream dress, there were a few things i wanted to adjust on the dress to make it even more perfect (if that was possible) and with Sam's incredible designing eye, she along with her seamstress created The Dress! Nothing was too much trouble for Sam and she was organised, accomodating and so friendly, making my fittings a pleasure. Mick who works on the men's suits suggested the most perfect and complimentary male wedding party suits and when they arrived they were all a perfect fit thanks to his experience and attention to detail. To top it all off we also chose our bridesmaid dresses from Broughton's bridals as they have such beautiful dresses. The whole experience was made so easy and pleasurable due to Sam and Mick's professionalism and warm friendly personalities. For me, it is the only place i would recommend for a Yorkshire bride. If you are about to go wedding dress shopping you have to book an appointment to see Sam and Mick!! I went last week and was feeling really disheartened because my Mam had not liked the dress that my sister and I thought was the one and to be honest was not really in the mood for trying on more dresses. However, Sam immediately made me feel comfortable, she was interested in the wedding and what I did or didn't want for my wedding dress. I cannot thank Sam enough for her patience with me. She had so many different ideas of how I could change certain dresses to make them more unique and ways that would better suit me from the original design. In the end I bought a dress that she picked for me, that she is going to alter to look nothing like the original! The dress is something that I would never have considered but I absolutely love. Nothing was too much trouble and Sam gave me advice on what accessories would go best and how I should wear my hair. Sam and Mick are such a lovely couple and definitely know their stuff when it comes to what works and what doesn't! I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I have just got back from my honeymoon and felt that I have to tell everyone about the best bridal boutique for miles.The shop had been recommended to me by a workmate and even though it was a long way for me to travel(I live in Doncaster)I absolutely loved every visit and I already miss going and seeing Samantha. Sam is so lovely and her collection of wedding gowns are so beautiful,all different and varying prices to suit all brides.Sam made me feel so at ease and really knows her stuff,she is so patient and I shall be recommending BROUGHTON'S BRIDALS to everyone. I would give 100% recommendation for Broughton's Bridals. Sam and Mick were just amazing! One thing a bride needs when trying on dresses is honesty, the last thing you need is to have a dress that just doesn't do you justice, Sam is so talented and would never let one of her brides look anything less than perfect! My dress had to be altered and i was so pleased with how it was done. I felt so beautiful in my dress and the look on my husbands face when i walked down the aisle was priceless. I also bought a dress for my honeymoon from Sam and Mick and i had so many wonderful compliments it felt great (Husband loved that dress too) they have some amazing sales in their boutique so its great to just pop in from time to time to check them out. This has to be one of the best wedding shops around for miles.My now wife Sarah had bought her wedding dress and maids from Samantha at BROUGHTON'S BRIDALS and was always raving on about how great the shop was and the lovely customer service.When the time had come for me to start looking for my outfits Sarah told me that I too should pay a visit to Broughtons and see her husband Mick who runs the menswear. She said when she had been in with her maids and mum there had been lots of very happy and satisfied people returning suits. Simply Amazing. Wonderful shop with wonderful people. I had been to quite a few bridal shops but none compare to this beautiful boutique. Samantha who owns the business with her husband is fantastic at her job , she helped me find my dream dress and then had it altered for me perfectly .The bridal boutique is on the first floor and nothing can prepare you for just how beautiful and peaceful it is .Only one bride in the fitting room at a time means you have the whole boutique to yourself which is brilliant. Sam was so patient and she was so lovely with my mum and gran. Sam's husband Mick runs the men's hire dept and he certainly knows his stuff as well (what a team) On the day everyone said I looked amazing and I felt great .All the gents suits fit perfectly and Karl looked gorgeous. I would recommend anyone go and see Sam and Mick at Broughton Bridals. I got married in September 2008 and hadn't left much time to get my dress! I made an appointment, picked out some dresses I liked to try on and the one I finally chose was the one Sam had picked for me! She is just wonderful, she made me feel very relaxed and the most important and beautiful bride ever. Everything just ran like clock work and it was great for me as I lived in the village! She has the most beautiful dresses to suit all budgets including evening/bridesmaid dresses and suit hire. when i was lookin for a dress for my wedding i really didnt no where to start.i had so many things in my head i think i would have had everthing.sam was the most amazing person.she fitted me out from head to toe.when she finished giving me all the attention she than fitted out my husband children and all the gents suits.they were fantastic.she was honest with what was good and what wasnt.she was the most helpful person in the run up to my wedding(including my mother).i have always thought sam is very dedicated and will always go that extra mile in my opinion.ihave always and always will recoment sam and mick to anyone i no as i am confident sam will do her best for that person, and if there was any mishaps they will do there up most to put it right.i wish sam and mick all the look in the future. sam m. read more

I got married in September at Simonstone Hall and Sam could not have been more helpful. Living in London it was tricky for me to get up to try dresses on but she accomodated and made arrangements so I could. The dress itself was beautiful and I felt like a princess on the day. I would never have thought to pick it and had tried quite a few on. Sam asked if I wanted to try this particular one so I did and it was love at first sight. Everyone commented on the dress on the day. Well worth a visit to their shop in Garforth. I only needed one alteration and it was perfect. I went to Broughton Bridals on the recommendation of 2 different colleagues. Having searched for a dress that was not strapless (I am what could be described as a more mature bride and wanted to look ladylike and not too naked!) I was beginning to feel defeated until going to see Sam. I ended up with a style quite different from what I had planned but with the judicious use of a shrug I actually got exactly what I wanted and felt wonderful on the day. Sam was always encouraging and patient with any giddiness. She and Mick made my mum and myself feel very much at home.
