Do not take your loved one there…read more Our loved one was placed into this facility because of dementia, a persistent UTI and a Kennedy bedsore. The staff dId not pick up after themselves in the patient's room so it was always dirty. At 14K a month our loved one got the opposite of what was needed. With the dementia our loved one's hands got shaky and it was hard to get the food to the mouth. But the staff just plopped the tray down and left and the staff did not make sure our loved on had enough to drink, even water. Then when the dementia progressed and our loved one no longer wanted to eat, the staff were told to wake our loved one up to force feed our loved one which caused aspiration pneumonia. Our loved one got more bed sores on the heels and neck. Although Pineview advertises "comfort care," even worse, our loved one suffered in writhing pain, because not enough pain medication was given there, as an evaluation at the Hospital had recommended.. As family members, when we pointed out our concerns in care, we were gas lighted and told that our loved one was fine even though we could see with our own eyes that the opposite was true. Blessedly our loved one had to go back to the hospital and was placed on hospice there where our loved one passed in peace and dignity.

I was given the wrong information about items missing during the hospital transport. Anastasia Jones told me their inventory was checked and the items must have been lost in the transport van. The missing items showed up on her transfer day when I picked up the few items of clothing they did have for her. It is also appears she had a stroke during her stay there. Her stay there was a detriment to her health. I should mention, I was offered a refund for the missing clothes. When the clothes were found, I emailed to see if the refund was still on the table since I had to purchase new clothes to replace the missing ones. That email came back-could not be delivered. Looks like Nathan Weiss blocked my email. I did give the one star for the nice nurses.

It turns out that "corporate decided this was not a viable option for my mom." She had the entry money and could easily afford the monthly fee, but after the sale of her home, they decided that since she wouldn't have $100,000 or more in assets, they could not approve her. This is not in any of their marketing materials and wasn't mentioned one time! Don't waste your time.

Family member had great care from some CNA and nurses, and housekeeping staff in Acute nursing care at Oak, and then to find they were fired. For the prices paid, and promises offered, independent livin is lovely, But when people need most help, this facility fell deeply short. A word of encouragement to spend time checking out the facility. Look behind the pretty surface so you get the caring needed at a tie that it is more necessary.

FIRST you have to understand that, although it's "the Quadrangle," it's really SUNRISE SENIOR LIVING, a for-profit company that is expanding all across the USA with over 242 locations. So the money you pay in is really used for Sunrise to expand nationally. Once you get that, it all makes sense. Then you need to understand that Sunrise is an REIT, a Real Estate Investment Trust. It's all about the investors making money; it's not about your loved one, or you, getting the best care possible. They skimp in as many ways as they can so the investors make money. This place - beware. The Independent Living is okay, Like all the photos, everything is beautiful. But Sunrise, the Quadrangle, is cheap. The signs at the elevators are so confusing & years ago we asked them to update them & make them easier for residents & for guests to understand. But no, they're cheap. What would it cost them to improve these signs so people could figure out whether they need to go up one floor or down one floor? Pennies. Really, what would it cost them? But my biggest beef is really with the Assisted Living & even more, with the Skilled Nursing. It's all about SUNRISE. When you or your loved one go to AL, building 8, your rooms are smaller, but the monthly expense doubles, PLUS you ALSO have to pay for meals (whereas in IL, the one hot meal/day is included in your "rent." So be prepared to pay more than double what you did, and have to live in a space now half the size. I could go on & on. There is no exercise room in the Assisted Living. So you or your loved one are going to go physically downhill quickly. They have chair exercise but big deal. No recumbent bikes to pedal, nothing. Oh sure you can walk a mile (literally the other side of the property) through the hallways to get to the main building's fitness room, but you might need to hire an aid to walk you there/back; or maybe your paid aid won't even want to walk you or push your wheelchair that far. Expect to deteriorate. The aids are rude. Is it their fault? They're paid bottom barrel so that's what Sunrise hires. And for the most part they're rude to the residents. (The kitchen & dining room staff, on the other hand, was so lovely.) If you get a nice & caring aid, the Quadrangle rotates them so the nice aid you had, and who knows what you want and need, you no longer have. And you have to start all over again telling them what goes where, and w them learning your mother is a PERSON!!!!! My relative, my mother, lost SO MANY GARMENTS there bc these aids do all the laundry middle of the night & and other people's laundry ends up in your loved ones closets or drawers, and your loved ones clothing ends up G-D knows where. The man in charge was so rude. He basically was supporting the hires. He didn't advocate for the residents, ever. Another beef is you don't get an Information Booklet. The rules of this Assisted Living are totally different from the Independent, but the booklet is like white bread. Totally devoid of any helpful information, helpful for the resident, helpful for the family member. I tried for 2 years to get them to update the booklet, even telling them what information we needed, what was unclear about the other booklet, or even put it online . NOTHING. They don't really want you to know. I'm writing this based on the experiences of three relatives and based on my own experience taking care of one of them.

Said that basically all other chiropractors were ineffective and that only he had the experience to actually heal me. Unfortunately my experience was the opposite. Very expensive as well...charged individually for each of three services that day as well when other chiropractors i have seen charged just one fair fee for a comprehensive service. Also very unprofessional in his choice and manner of discussion and banter. I have since found a very good chiropractor who is kind and really seems to care, and does a way better job in healing as well.

That being said, I don't know how I feel about how worn out the doctors may be. I love my doctor and I've had him for 13 years. He was a part of the Crozer system Which obviously got shut down very quickly and then he came to Mainline Health. A lot of of us had trouble getting our records back from the company that bankrupted Crozer although it seemed that they maintained some of my records, at least for medications, because someone read them out to me on the phone once and I know they weren't guessing because there were so many. Because I have complicated health problems and cannot always make it in when I want to, I got told that the next appointment that was available with my doctor - because I was a new patient (which is vaguely disconcerting) - was not until 2028. At the time by law, this doctor was supposed to be talking to me every six weeks. I don't see how the bottom can hold in a situation like that, but it was pleasant enough when I went there. I'm hoping that they take a bit off the of the doctors. I don't know if they have quotas or not, but it seems like if you can't get in to see a doctor for two years that that is an administrative problem. That being said like I said earlier, the people that work there I've had nothing but good conversations with and they have been nothing but patient with me and I'm just kind of waiting to see how it plays out. Their portal is probably the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with besides trying to get through a human being from a customer service prospective or getting a pinky on the fourth fret when you have 13-year-old girl hands and are learning to play guitar. I haven't been to anybody but my primary care physician yet but I do have to see a few specialist and get an MRI so this review is subject to change based on those experiences.
