After finally getting the courage to go, two separate dentists treated me barbarically. In my suffering and severe stress on deciding what to do, I drove two and a half hours to a supposed, holistic practitioner who was not! After I got to the end of myself, I asked the Creator of all things what to do and through another question I looked up, the answer came through Meetinghouse Dental Group! One phone call to Kelly started my path. Dr. Anthony called me and spent a great deal of time speaking to me having the answers I was seeking, with compassion, excellence, impeccable in-depth knowledge and presentation and I was overwhelmed with gratitude because this is the answer to my battlecry! Thank you Dr. Anthony for your hours of research with Dr. Matthew to find the solutions for my care. I am very grateful for your excellence in service to me! Thank you Rachel for your excellence in service to me! Everyone who spoke with me was phenomenal in their service to me! The Dr. recently retired…read moreand new office staff has come in with the new Dr. taking over the practice, well, they called prior to an upcoming appt and wanted us to fill out new patient paperwork online because they were computerizing their records. The have all our records and when we pushed back with that point the person on the phone became nasty and claimed she could not read the records. We decided to move onto a new provider after that experience because we have found that if the office staff doesn't care the provider doesn't either especially at times of transition.

The office staff and team in the office is so nice and accommodating to anything you need. Dr. Sara is such a delight and I have never seen a dentist go above and beyond for his patients the way she does. She always make sure you are comfortable, satisfied, and fully informed during the entire process of any procedure or cleaning. I've had many cavities and even a root canal performed at the office and even those normally bother some procedures were tolerable and easy at her office. I've been going there for years and before are used to be deathly afraid of the dentist but I have to say ever since going to Dr. Sara I have not been afraid of the dentist anymore.

After the cleaning, we got a bill for over $100. What the heck! Our plan pays 100% for a cleaning and check-up. Come to find out, the insurance is out of network, but I wasn't told. I would have never made this appointment... Why would I go to a dentist who just covers a fraction of the cost, instead of one covering a 100%. I guess I'm stuck paying this $100. I sent an email to the office and was ignored. Just to compare to other dental offices, I called three other dental practices and was correctly told it was out of network. I even had one set on my phone. Well, never say anything like that to someone with a sharp instrument in their hand! She grudgingly continued to probe ( without xray) every tooth with sharp jabs that were painful and unnecessary. Then said she had to call in "The doctor" before she could proceed, implying I was at fault and 'a bad patient'. As a physician, I recognize (and abhor) that tactic. Was told I needed a deep cleaning and nothing else would be done that night. This was after I waited 45 min for my appointment and never had my teeth cleaned. I was going to have to make more appointments in the future. I said no thank you and left. Then charged $100 for the poking, the pain and the attempt at humiliation. Sorry, this is not the way to run a compassionate professional practice. Well, it used to be not the way. Now it's all about $$$ and making patients "the problem". I am so so sick of it.

Everyone in the office is super nice, friendly and accommodating. The dentist and his staff explain everything they're going to do to prepare you, which I always find helpful. I didn't feel like excessive treatments were being placed upon me and while they do educate patients on the need to floss, attend regular visits, etc. no one is there to make you feel guilty about maybe skipping a few days of flossing. I always book my next appointment upon leaving the office and they send plenty of text message reminders (if you opt-in) which makes it all that much more convenient.

Unfortunately, we've recently experienced a few issues that have caused us to lose confidence. The first was a medical concern: a shard of titanium was left inside my son's tooth after a procedure. We were told this happens, but it was not removed, which is concerning to us. The second was a financial policy issue: my husband's recent appointment was canceled because he was only informed of his full out-of-pocket cost on the day of service, rather than in advance. When he was unable to pay the full amount that day, he had to cancel, and he was later refused service entirely. We feel these incidents reflect a concerning lack of attention to both patient care and communication. This focus on financial policies over the well-being of long-term patients has been a major turnoff for us. As a result, we will be transferring the dental records for our family of four to a new provider.

The only thing we had to do was a referral to another office to check on some wisdom teeth. I would recommend this office for other people and families.
