The modern houses of Deysbrook Lane, was partly used as the set of the soap opera Brookside, from 1982, when Channel 4 was launched.
When Brookside was removed from Channel 4, Mersey TV started usin some of the houses on in other soaps, as like Hollyoaks and Grange Hill.
Houses on Brookside Close used as sets, numbers 7, the house of Dean family, and number 8, Burton-Taylor family, were the cheapest at £199,000, but the famous number 10 was for sale at £295,000.
The public bar in Brookside which resided on Brookside Parade, now used as the Student Union bar in Hollyoaks and the opposite side, of the Parade can now be seen in Grange Hill as the School entrance. read more
