The Homey, Elegant, & Well-lit Atmosphere, Staff's Caring & Patient Ways, & the "life-giving" numerous daily social & various activities are so uplifting & healing!!! Brookridge is the nicest place that we could find for our Dad!! (We toured about 3 places closeby.) We really appreciate the flexibility that you offer. Our dear one lived in the Memory Care side at Brookridge Heights for almost 6 years. We can't say enough about how caring, kind, and attentive the staff were, how well they got to know her and her special needs, and how committed they were to communicating with us through the ups and downs of caring for someone with advancing dementia and other health problems. The "quality" care at this facility is so insanely bad. I myself have witnessed many cases of residents being left in their own urine & bm for 8+ hours, residents being ignored when asking to use the bathroom, residents being used for marketing, and staff has told me management refuses to help care aides, does not act in the best interest of the residents, and expects staff to take care of 40+ residents by themselves at time. I would never put my family in this facility if they need incontinence care or have any sort of disability due to the amount of neglect I have seen. Some of the staff here are angels but for the most part I wouldn't trust them to look after anyone from my family not even my pets. Staff has mentioned that management hides reviews that speak the truth about this facility and the unfair treatment to not only the residents in this facility but the staff as well. Management needs to do better, do not listen to the women that gives you and your family tours because I have learned that most of it is a lie as well as most of the activities that are lined up for resident enjoyment. On memory care the activities rarely actually happen and residents are just put in front of a tv and told to enjoy themselves. They go hungry if they have any diet restrictions due to the kitchen staff not caring to give residents any food that adheres to their special diet. I can not stress this enough, do not move your family into this facility, do your research and find somewhere that actually cares about their residents and staff. read more
