My second time here and they greeted me like family when I came in I ended up having mild chicken wings. Pasta soup and their Brooklyn pizza with hot honey. The honey wasn't really that hot but the pizza was delicious. I've had the pizza here before and that's why I came back. Very good. Fresh ingredients would come back again. Check out the pictures they'll make your mouth drool. read more

Every one there were very nice and the food was good highly recommended and I'm from Brooklyn

We just ate at Brooklyn Joes for the first time today. My husband had the calzone and I had the eggplant panini. They both were fantastic! While waiting Tim brought us a slice of cheese pizza to try. It was a true slice of heaven, thin crispy crust with just the right amount of cheese. Finally we found some great Italian food. We will be back to try more of their delicious selections. Special shoutout to Tim, he was attentive and an overall great person. See you soon! read more

Amazing! The mozzarella is the best I have ever tasted in pizza. They have Brooklyn soda there which is much better than any coke or root beer I ever tasted. It happed to be a bust Tuesday afternoon but everyone was so nice and helpful. Did I say the pizza was too notch? GF crust is awesome. read more

When visiting Punta Gorda in the off season, you have to be aware that many restaurants are either closed or close early. I googled Brooklyn Joe's and it said they were closing in one minute. I called to confirm, but the owner said what do you want, I am going to be here for another hour anyway. We headed down and our pizza was coming out the oven. Great service from Ian and the pizza was the best I have had in a while. Authentic New York style. The sauce was especially tasty. Thanks again, we will be back. read more

Having had the opportunity to order meals through the past few years, consistency is a key factor that Justin and his team have achieved. They prepare consistently great meals, whether you order a pizza or a delicious dinner. The new menu, in my opinion is a home run. The chicken parmigiana and piccata were both excellent and pizzas superb. This is a great local restaurant that serves delicious meals. If you haven't tried them, give them the opportunity to make a meal for you. As an added bonus their deserts won't disappoint either. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/ read more

Fast, friendly, fair for dine in or take out. My fav pizza in PG/PC (not that I've tried all). I like the slightly greasy (sorry) and thin crust. Quick slices to go for lunch. Lots or worker bees stop there. read more

We loved Broklyn Joe's - we get pizza and cheese steaks. Quick carry out service, friendly staff.

Incredible pizza. Top notch and perfect. The crust is thin and soft sauce is not too sweet or sour, pepperoni was juicy and crispy and the cheese is impeccable. The only downside is the size coming from NYC this pizza is small but worth it. The environment is friendly and the service is quick and good. The guy who makes the pizza is friendly and talkative. read more

It's o.k. but we won't return. Lasagna looks like it came pre-made and pre packaged. My husband liked the meatball sub. Pizza was o.k. but nothing to brag about. read more

Okay. I know it's annoying for northerners to come to Florida and compare pizza, I get it. But the last time I was in Florida I had a bite of pizza that was so nasty that I immediately spit it out. It scarred me, actually lol. I decided to try this place as I live directly behind it and people rave about it. My expectations were low, but let me tell ya. Absolutely frikan delish. My dad hasn't shut up about it either lol. Highly recommend read more

First time at Brooklyn Joes, The Pizza was Delish, will definitely come back again, I even had a take out box. Employees are Awesome. Thank again. read more

Food was good, but way over priced. Service was terrible, we received our pizza and the Alfredo for grandchild came out after we boxed up the pizza. No offer of discount, boxed up the Alfredo because she didn't want to eat alone. Table never got cleaned, had to ask several times for refills and to go boxes. The worst part of it: 3 waitress and only 5 other tables had customers. read more

Ordered Italian club and was very disappointed. Dry roll that crumbled as it was held. Maybe 5 slices of meat, if that, on a large. If Joe really is from Brooklyn, he should be embarrassed. People don't order hoagies, subs, heros to eat a loaf of bread, especially whatever Joe's is using. Joe, ya need to call Amoroso's Bakery and change up those rolls if you're gonna be advertising an east coast style sandwich and serving it to transplants. read more

We were given half of a Joe's calzone by a neighbor who was leaving town and OMG it was delicious. So, one night when we were debating dinner we ordered a meat lover's pizza from Joe's with the same result. Great food and fast service (we carried out). We'll have to try other menu items but would be happy with more Joe's calzone and pizza. read more

Chef Nick here. Well I got to tell you I've had a lot of people tell me you got to try Brooklyn Joe's. Finally, I get up to punta Gorda to try them. I'll tell you it's just a name Brooklyn because they certainly couldn't serve this pizza in Brooklyn. It was so thin and I picked up the slice. It fell over. That was the first strike. The second strike was they were using this inferior grande cheese. A blended cheese left oil over the pizza. Not whole milk. Mozzarella like I'm used to up north salsa's okay, but very disappointed and if $5 is a slice that's a disgrace. They weren't worth more than a dollar. Obviously I was still hungry after two paper thin slices. So I ordered a Philly cheese steak. What another disgrace. It was tasty. However, it had chopped peppers who the hell is ever told anybody in Florida that a Philly cheese steak has sliced peppers on it. It doesn't fried onions and cheese. That's it. No other bullshit goes on a cheese steak. You want to add mushrooms? That's up to you but never ever ever peppers. That's not a Philly cheese steak. That's probably a jersey cheesecake. They do anything in that state. Me was very scarce. I could have put all the meat on half of sandwich. You need it. Have very little meat in it roll was so so but that's Florida. $15 for sandwich. It should have been $2.99. I don't think I'll go back. I was so disappointed because that Brooklyn Joe's now of course I've been to Brooklyn many times but this by no way or means. Is this food like in Brooklyn? Forget about it. Don't even think of going there. Don't waste your time or your money. Not a table next to me to have salad look like plenty of salad. The salt look good but I went there for the pizza and the cheese steak. I asked about their meatballs. You make your own meatballs. He said no, we don't. That was another strike. You got to be kidding me. Brooklyn Joe's buys frozen meatballs and cooks them. What kind of Italian pizza parlor buys meatballs? They're so easy to make. No pride whatsoever and absolute disgrace one and done for that place. read more

I wrote a review on Yelp for this place however it disappeared, but is still under my reviews. Strange. I gave it four stars on that one but I ate inside the restaurant. I have only gotten take out since. You have to go there and order and then wait for it or you will get a cold pie. My only issue is that the specialty pizzas don't have what I like and by the time I add olives , mushrooms and banana peppers to the Genovese, it gets pricey for what you get. The pizza is good and it's just down the street from me. I wish them every success. Not on the level of Pioneers , but still good. I didn't care to eat inside because of the dirty dish basket that they keep the dishes and table scraps on sit in the dining area. Sorry , but that's gross. read more
