Well what can i say, im gobsmacked at the bad review i never take time to write reviews but after using Brooklyn Barbers for the last 5 months and getting a service that i have never experienced before i thought it was only fair and well deserved.. my opinion is that there is certainly no rush and the hairdressers i have had Older gent and young lady were both very competent, make more than sure i was completely happy with the cut and style and this is from someone who spends a lot of time and money on my hair and appearance, they were great, friendly, enjoyed a laugh and even once the owner a nice lad offered me a drink whilst i waited as it was busy along with the other customers my little boy hates the barbers but asks can he go to Brooklyn for a trim, the staff are very good with him and make sure he is ok when my hair is being perfected. I can honestly say that i have never been happy with any Barbers before but i for one will not be going elsewhere!!! I do however suspect that this bad comment has been placed by someone on behalf of another local Barber's who is worried about what a great service Brooklyn offers. i would say the only way for anyone to find out is to try for themselves and i personally know you will not be disappointed :-) read more

when alfie and simon asked me to write a review on qype i was more than happy to do so, anything for the guys who have helped me achieve the hairstyle iv wanted for so long and other barbers have never quite got right.. Started using these guys just before Christmas i went to them with what i wanted (a bit of a quiffed comb over with no1 grade sides and the quiff pushed back, bit like beckham early this year) Other barbers had tried but have usually failed with the blend and getting my hair to grow that way. Alfie perfectly executed the blend and advised me to use some Brooklyn define hair product to help weigh my hair down whilst i was growing the quiff over, also to call in on a fortnightly basis to keep sides short and quiff in check, we even negotiated a discount for frequent visits Fair do's these guys know what they're talking about, my hair is exactly how i want it now and im a frequent user of the shop and their products.. a* chaps a* read more

Worst haircut ever! Literally made my girlfriend cry. I don't think the barber looked at my actual head more than five times as he was too busy chatting with the other lad working there. Just wanted a pretty standard scissor cut- shorter at the side and back, long on top, which he really didn't seem to understand and just cut willy-nilly all over my head, then started to use clippers after telling him I didn't want that! Despite him using the clippers I still managed to leave with strands of hair up to 5cm longer than the rest in random places. Didnt ask me if it was ok at the end, just said he was done and that was that. The older guy who cut my hair was grumpy and utterly impolite. Had to go an pay for another haircut somewhere else, and the guy there said I was the third person in that week coming to get a Brooklyns haircut fixed. Terrible service, terrible haircut! For me, this is the only barber shop in town. As any other long-haired dudes will only too readily verify, hairdressers, as a rule, will destroy your luscious locks. Ask them to take an inch, and that's what they'll leave you with, putting your glasses back on to be greeted by the image of that kid from Busted; oh wait, it's just me, except with some crazy 'fashionable' do. Damn you!Rant over. At Brooklyn you can totally rely on these guys; they'll do just what you ask them to, leave you with the haircut you requested and they also have some great banter going. When I went to the brooklyn barbers I was happy to see a new cheaper and nice looking barbers in chester. However, upon getting my hair cut I can see that you get what you pay for. Having said that I would rather of paid for them to leave my hair alone. I ended up with a horrific bowl cut that left me looking like a bullied child in a playground from the 90's. The shaved parts were pretty dodgy too with tufts left that were clearly visible. Suffice to say I left wearing a hat and a cloud over my head! I wont be going back. read more

I took my son to this barbers as recommended by a colleague who frequently takes his kids there, it was a great experience for my son who normally dislikes having his haircut. stumbled across this barbers on Saturday i carnt believe that i haven't seen it before. Overall great experience, and i would highly recommend. I got given a Loyalty card were the 5th cut is free, defo be going back. read more
