I remembered I needed to pick up some flowers for a birthday gift when I was out in Markham. I…read morequickly looked up a few shops and Blooms was one of the few in the area that was open before 2pm. It looks like they have a backroom where they prepare most of the flowers. When I walked in, a doorbell chime went off and a staff member was quickly out to help me. I told her about my situation and she asked a lot of good questions like who the bouquet was for, what was their relation, if they had favourite colours or flowers, to help narrow down what the ideal arrangement would be. Next, she asked for my budget. Once I decided on an amount, I was rung up ahead of time. It is a little spooky to pay ahead of time without an idea of what you're getting but I was sort of in a pinch without any other options. She let me know that they'd need about 30-45 minutes to pick something up and that she'd give me a call when they were ready. They were done in about 40 minutes sand I received the call to come by. The bouquet was absolutely gorgeous! The front room has a refrigerated case with some flowers but I don't think that is there entire inventory because there was a huge variety of stems in my bouquet than I saw displayed. I can't describe how pretty it was with the assortment of lilies, roses, and greens that were in there. I was there for the unpacking of the flowers and the wrapping was expertly done. There were several layers of paper and they were matching with the flowers and very high quality with a nice texture. The flowers were really packed in water so they didn't wilt on their 3 hour journey around the GTA. They were also trimmed so there was nothing to do except put them in a vase and sit back to admire them!

We weren't too sure what kind of bouquet we wanted, so we just told the owner that we wanted something for a young lady for a birthday, with a fresher and summery feel. She knew exactly what to do and gave us an example of what she thought. Came to pick it up the next day and the bouquet was beautifully done and very full! It was about $60 and she gave us nice, straight-forward directions on what to do to keep the flowers until we gave them. Excellent service, quick and effective. Gave me a strong sense that they knew exactly what they were doing, and that they were good at what they do. Will be back in the future for any of my floral needs.

What sets then apart is that even with there volume of business, they took the time to carefully prepare my roses, complete with baby's breath and fillers, and wrap the package with some lovely wrapping. For $50.00 the day before Mothers Day, what a great value. Definately recommomend, especially for last minute needs!

Went into the store, and with the help of Shae, decided on the Exquisite Tribute Spray which I was told was one their most popular arrangements. For an additional $50, we chose the deluxe ($230), over the standard ($180), as it would have a fuller appearance with the added flowers. Took some extra time and care in choosing the wording for the sash/banner as well as the card/note saying who the flowers are from. The following afternoon, when we arrived at the funeral home, we felt a huge let down when we saw the finished product. The arrangement had many White Carnations and Chrysanthemums (Filler Flowers) and very few White Roses (Premium Flowers)....As for the White Lilies, of the several that were present, only 2 were actually open, the rest were not even close to blooming which left the entire appearance very underwhelming. It was vastly different than what was pictured on their website and what I saw in the store just the previous day. What added to the overall dissatisfaction was that there was no sign of any card/note saying who the flowers were from. These were purchased on behalf of my aunts, from the old country, who find these details very important especially on sad occasions like this. If the service was longer than 2 days, we may have brought up our issues to them in hopes that they may be willing to improve and correct matters but there was no time. Although others have had positive experience(s) with this florist, we unfortunately can not say the same. The expectations set by the positive reviews along with the added expense were definitely not lived up to. Missing the mark on execution and attention to detail is why we will not use or recommend this place in the future.
