How did you bring that down?" And this was a question I asked because I'd like to remember that if it happened again.... the doctor said, "don't worry about that number." I'm in the ER thinking I'm dying and I'm just supposed to accept a sudden turn of a medical condition. Then they said, "we found nothing" and "I should check with my primary care doctor (which I didn't have at the time)".... So after the visit, I try to make appointments with doctors covered by my insurance in the area... one told me next appointment was in 2 months, another was 4 weeks... one mocked me because I was really upset and crying about this (as I was terrified because I thought I was dying)... basically, no one cared. The hospital didn't seem to. Their answer was "the doctor did everything right" because apparently malpractice was more important than what the actual condition could be or was. They wouldn't bring it to a cardiologist despite acknowledging a problem with the heart... they just figured "it's fine. Go home" I didn't need to be admitted but I wanted some answers... and they had no interest in giving me any. Either they didn't know or were more interested in shielding themselves from a lawsuit which I had no interest in filing. I literally wanted to know because my mom nearly died from something similar... but apparently, that's not important to anyone but me. Only reason I got some answers from other people were that the patient portal they have gave me all the lab results and test results, so I sent that to a family member who's an RN. I didn't even get to sign discharge papers... they just put an X there as if I signed them.

They did not take her back. She vomited again and was falling over from dehydration. She said she was there for hours before I came in. I went to the nurse again and was finally taken back in a wheel chair. Another woman was crying in her wheel chair. She was in pain. If I was there 5 hours, how long was she there before me? No compassion. I took my son out of there to Saint Marys. Was in with doctor in 15 minutes with exceptional care. What is going on at Jefferson?? Never, ever go there again. I forgot her name but I absolutely owe her my life!!! I had a number of incredible nurses in all my experiences there and they all are the best nurses I've EVER had in my hospital experiences!!!! They are all so amazing and kind in all the terrifying time I spent there in different areas of the hospital. I was taken to the cath lab where they discovered several blockages (50%, 70% and 99%). Ended up having a triple bypass. The second time they scanned me and found a 12 cm cancerous tumor on my liver. They took the entire left lobe. I am alive today after 2 close calls that could have turned out very differently if the folks at RWJ Hamilton hadn't taken the initiative to delve deeper. After waiting almost three hours, I felt dismissed by the doctor despite having ongoing symptoms and being advised to return to the ER if they continued. I left without the clear guidance or care plan I needed. My experience with the billing department was just as disappointing. When I called to follow up on my bill, the representative was dismissive and passive-aggressive, even responding "probably" when I asked if the previous representative had actually reviewed my account. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen made an already stressful situation even worse. Patients deserve to be heard and treated with respect, not made to feel like a burden. Hopefully, I will never have to come back here again.

When my primary care physician of 15 years announced his retirement at the end of 2019, and…read morenotified his patients to find a new doctor in the next 60 days, I was concerned that it would be difficult to connect with a different doctor as well as I did with him. Change like this is seldom easy. But, I was lucky. PennMed had opened a family medicine facility in nearby Lower Makefield and had brought in several younger staff physicians who were establishing new practices and looking for patients. Already familiar with their excellent work in Philadelphia from personal experience, I contacted the local office via their My PennMed website and got an appointment for the following week. I met Dr. Li and was immediately won over my his direct, yet good natured approach. He asked plenty of questions and listened to my answers. He obtained my records from my former provider and quickly understood my medical history and unusual aspects of my health. He simplified my prescriptions, updated them, and asked me to return in 3 months with new lab work to be sure we were on the right track. Dr. Li gained my confidence almost immediately. Turned out that this operation included inhouse lab work in the first floor, so I no longer had to make visits to Quest Diagnostics to give blood and urine samples. The data was provided directly to me and the doctor through their website within 48 hours, and he was contacting me by phone to schedule an appointment to review the findings. Quick and easy. A little more fine tuning on meds and preventive health, and we were set for the rest of the year. Have to say that while I was comfortable with my now retired doctor, that I really didn't know what I was missing by not being part of a state of the art medical practice. My former family doctor was very good. Dr. Li and PennMed are even better.

You have to see one desk, then go across hall to another office, talk to lady at front desk, then wait for another person to take you to a room to get information then you go back out of office to lady at desk to and wait for your turn. The Hamilton location you just go to the desk on one side give your script, or if they already have it in system per your doctor tell them but it seemed to aggravate the first girl. the rest of the staff on the other side and taking xrays were super nice and it was less complicated.

Went to see my PC Dr today, who thought it was a joke that the Dr at this Urgent Care said it was only allergies. I did have a fever, and Dr told me I have a pretty severe sinus infenction... and if i didn't come in when I did to get antibiotics my ear infection would've got very bad. Moral of the story... the DRs at this urgent care have no idea what they are doing, just want to be in and out.
