The most important thing is the finished product, and this company delivered a beautiful bathroom at the end of the project. They also took care to make repairs where things went awry (e.g., leaks into the room below and a hole accidentally cut through a bedroom wall). We are now very happy with our bathroom.
The project itself took a little over 8 weeks during which there was poor communication. We met with two people from Broderick to go over the plan and quickly found that much of this meeting was not conveyed to the workers. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times to multiple parties to get things done in the way that it had initially been agreed to. This included things like outlet placements, door type, types of light switches, etc. During the build, workers used our ladder without first asking, made decisions without consulting us, broke a key holder off the wall and didn't tell us, and even used our new toilet and left fecal matter visible in there. New tile had to be ordered twice because the incorrect amount was bought, delaying the process. After all this, we ended up paying right at the top of the estimate even though we bought our own vanity (which was part of the cost estimate).
When we spoke with people at the company, they let us know that communication is "always an issue," so at least there's awareness of this. But we will not be using this company again. read more
