I air Fryed the fries to get them hot and crispy (which worked). The hot dog itself was decent. Nothing to be overly impressed with. A must go to for wings in Leland! I had noticed the man inside (who now I wish I had asked his name), despite the door hours saying they closed at 8pm, there he was open at 8:41. I go in excited for a burger, I've been looking for one around here for a while. He does inform its fryer only and shows me the menu. I'm on a work trip so I'm not complaining over wings. These blew out any expectations I had. They were AMAZING, truly! This weren't tiny wings, they were meaty, tender, and the sauces were great! I got a honey habanero and jerk. Now I'll admit it's not exactly the most authentic Jerk chicken but let's be real we just want something tasty and it is delicious all the same. On point, all of it. The atmosphere was welcoming, had seats of multiple heights, i liked that. There was a shelf with local businesses cards, that was awesome too, a sense of community. Very clean. Menu is dogs and hamburgers. Dogs were good and cooked to order. The fries were crispy and the onion rings were delicious. Will had the unsweetened tea and I had the lemonade. Lemonade was store bought but the tea was brewed on site. Unique selection of local beers but not for lunch. Canned Pepsi products and bottle water are the other options. I made the drive out here when I was craving a hotdog and wanted to try something different. I love to try different hot places and I'm always looking for the best one in town. I ordered my usual - a hotdog with chili, slaw and cheese, a hotdog on the side to give my canine dog, and a side of fries. I really loved the different hotdog combinations as well as the customizable order. I liked that they had soda and beer there for sale. The person who took my order seemed pretty passionate and offered his suggestions as well. I like that there was outdoor seating so that I could bring my dog to sit with me. Overall, it is a good place to eat. The location is a little bit funky, but I guess they can't really help that. It wasn't the best hotdog I've ever had in my life, but it's certainly is one that I would eat again if I were ever in the area. Wishing them the best! read more

The frank had zero flavor like it had been boiling in water all day. Its was just texture, nothing else. My onion rings were just one big fried clump of onions and batter. I was so excited to try this place, but sadly I do not think I will be back. It's an easy fix. For one, put the rings in a few at a time with the fry basket down so that they're being dropped in oil. If you overload the basket and put the onions in with the batter before lowering it into oil, you end up with a big clump of greasy fried mess. Also, grilling the dogs would bring out the flavor. Mine tasted like leftovers from the night before and reheated. read more

This is a tiny place in the back of a parking lot, it is a little hard to find and you wouldn't if you weren't looking! I happened to be there for a dog rescue event and I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries, it was a delicious burger and the other had hot logs and loved them too. The homemade chips were to die for! They also gave our free bottles of water when asked. The service was great, the staff was really friendly! So disappointed! Apparently they've had a change of ownership. Ordered a Chicago dog w/ cheese, chili dog and sweet potato fries to go. When we got home... no cheese, mustard and ketchup on my Chi-dog... just tomatoes, relish and onions. Sweet potato fries were a 1/2 size container holding maybe 10 fries that weren't freshly fried. Not sure I'll go back after this experience. We used to Brodee Dogs but not so much after this experience. I gave you an extra star because you were open/staffed. This is a tiny gem! We have been there a few times and it is always on point. I know it is known as a hot do place but today I had a burger and it was incredible definitely not a frozen patty but fresh ground beef. It was served on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce and tomato (as ordered) and a side of their fresh made potato chips also incredible. The hotdogs are also very good not an anemic skinny dog on a cheap bun but a nice juicy dog with the snap that I look for served on a warmed potato style roll. This place is tiny but very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean from front to back including the restroom if you want to judge a eateries cleanliness take a look at the bathroom if it is dirty you can bet the parts you can't see are worse. The owners should be proud of the effort they put into not only the food but the atmosphere and hygiene of their place. They also serve breakfast and have a large selection of micro brew beers in bottles and cans and a few on tap. The small staff is always polite and friendly and they get your order to you quickly served hot and fresh. read more

Celiac/gluten allergy, etc - NOT safe. I came here because of a review that said it was safe to eat here for someone unable to enjoy gluten and because one of the menus offered a gluten free option. I'm leaving a review to inform others this is only the case if someone simply prefers to avoid more gluten-y items. I am still giving the restaurant 4 stars because my daughter (who can so very luckily still eat gluten) enjoyed her first meal and it looked and smelled amazing from where I sat beside her sad because couldn't also enjoy the same from being misled by someone else who seems to have been misled as well - autoimmune diseases and food allergies are a real bust, none of us chooses this for the fun of it! Took away a star because the person taking our order didn't have a clue what was on their menu and there was a lot of back and forth between her and the cook in this very small, limited area before I could get answers to any of my questions. Also because offering GF options on a menu without explicitly stating it's likely impossible it's gluten free for people who need it that way is the worst for those of us willing to pay and travel extra for it. Ultimately, the cook came to the front to explain they were out of gluten free buns and while they do usually offer them, he explained that he has a family member with Celiac disease, and that he would recommend not eating anything due to how everything is prepared as the contamination risk is most likely impossible to avoid. If the owners are reading this, I hope you thank your cook for his honesty over the sale of a meal. While I was really disappointed in the moment, I'm grateful I wasn't put at a known risk for being horribly sick for several weeks. If I had ended up sick, my family would never have been back. Because he took the time to be helpful, my other family members will likely still enjoy food here, and I hope one day a truly safe gluten free option is available for myself and many others. read more

Been dying to try this new hotdog place since it opened in Leland! Great service and it's family run. Even if you sit outside, they cone and check on you and offer to help with your trays. The owner even gave the tables samples of their cookies! The salted caramel cookies are awesome! I had ordered the Brodee, because you can't go wrong with bacon and cheese! We were in town this afternoon, and decided to have a bite for lunch. Brodee's is a small place with a huge selection and every one is so friendly. My wife skipped the fancy toppings, and had a dog with spicy mustard and kraut. I had the 'Cape Fear' sausage with peppers & onions. They were delicious and the best onion rings too. Environment is classic. And the owner truly cares about making customers happy. She helped me pick what I would like (I'm terrible at making decisions) and really cared that we enjoyed our food. I'm down with this place. The food is fast. The hotdogs are super delicious. I had the Brodee--like a fried hotdog with bacon, cheese (YUM!). First time trying this place out and was excited to try 2 different hot dogs and their sides. When I go in the atmosphere was nice and clean and was greeted when I walked in, I placed my order and the wait time was short which was a plus but when I received my food I knew something was off. I ordered The Brodee dog and The Tarheel(both with raw onion added), house chips and fries. Both of these are combos that were supposed to come with drinks but when the food was handed to me I asked about my drinks and I was told that I wasn't charged for them but to go ahead and grab them, then had to walk back inside because I didn't get the fries I ordered. Once that was resolved and I had all my food I started to eat and noticed I didn't have any onion and the food wasn't up to par on what I paid. Cashier claimed I was only charged for the 2 dogs however the total was over $16? Seems like they were trying to get more money out of people by charging them combo price and not giving all food/ claiming they only charged for the hot dogs. read more
