I did not want to use the App but was told I had to cause she didn't want to make any mistakes taking my information down. I reluctantly downloaded the App. which would not allow me to change any of my information so I called back and got a different person on the phone and told her I was having trouble with the App I did not want to use and was there anyway they can change my information on the account it has been years since I was there. I happen to be a Vet tech and my pets were seen at another hospital and I wanted to have my pet evaluated by a specific doctor which annoyed the receptionist. I was asked for a 50$ deposit to hold the appointment which I gave the CC information over the phone; funny they had no problem taking that information over the phone. I also said I would send my pets records over from previous Vet and that I would take care of it and preferred that they didn't call for records that annoyed them also. I then emailed my records which they had trouble finding them through email and the practice manager called me back to ask what had occurred while making the appointment. Which I explained and that I would bring the records in the day of the appointment if the records cannot be retrieved by my email. I was told then that they had to have the records of my pet prior to coming for the appointment cause they had to review them. This was a new problem so past records would be irrelevant- all previous exams were normal she is up to date with vaccines and this was a new problem that it's a possible heart issue. She then questioned if it was detected by a doctor, which I said no, I think she has this problem and wanted her evaluated by a doctor which annoyed her. What does it matter if I think something is wrong with my pets heart? This was the reason I wanted to make said appointment to have it checked by a doctor and that annoyed her. I was told if I did not have the records there prior to my appointment that I would be charged 40$extra to process the records if I bring them in. I expressed that they were creating a problem before I even step through the doors. She said I could speak with Dr. Dallas who gave me the same run around was then told I could not come to the practice. I have got to say this was the most ridiculous exsprience Ever to occur from a Veterinary practice and I have worked in the field for 30 years. I have Never seen I doctor review files prior to a patient coming in. Yes vaccine information is needed but my pet was up to date which I told them over the phone when making said appointment. This practice is absurd and it's unfortunate cause the Veterinarian I want my pet to see is now working out of this practice and I cannot get an appointment because their feelings were hurt and these tyrant, ridiculous business practices. Absolutely absurd- if you can't take information like updating address and phone number over the phone you shouldn't be answering it- and if a client doesn't want to use an App to communicate by they should not be forced to do so. This practice is not friendly- they don't want to have any human connection why would anyone trust them with a pet?

We came here years back with our loving boy cat when he was having some issues and was slowly passing away. They turned us away. We ended up driving over an hour for another vet to help us. Fast forward to today my boyfriend called having a question about our girl cat we've had for almost 8 months. They couldn't answer anything and turned us away yet again because they're not accepting new patients. Why be open? Or why not advertise that you guys just simply don't help or are not even willing to. I'm not really one to complain but I don't see how they're still in business. Go anywhere else where your time and your loving baby will be prioritized. Update: so yesterday after I wrote my review I decided I was going to call them stating (nicely) they should say they're not accepting new patients. Darlene was at the "front desk" and honestly she was rude. She tried turning the problem back on me. She was beating around the bush and trying to make it seem like I was the problem. "I should have this, I should have that". She stated they could only give out general information and not advice..okay well she didn't even answer the general questions. The way she was talking to me I really wanted to break out of character but I'm not going to stoop down to her level. Please go anywhere else where you and your concerns will be taken seriously instead of some "lady" trying to play the blame game. Go spend your hard earned money some where else. Obviously this place doesn't care about how they treat their customers so I highly doubt they'd give your loving animal the attention and care they deserve.

Last year she became very sick basically overnight. Our previous primary "low cost" vet was impossible to get a hold of. I was frantically calling every vet I could find and no one was willing to fit her in as a new patient. They were so kind and did what they could to get us seen. They worked with us on finding her the right medication and offered affordable options. Their visits are pretty affordable as well. The doctor is great, thorough, and straight to the point. Would absolutely recommend.

Mark is the primary vet I use, he's got a great personality and a sense of humor I relate to. One commentor posted that the spay and neuter was cheaper elsewhere (a.k.a. Nutmeg Spay) in my opinion you get what you pay for. (DON'T go to NUTMEG SPAY: If Nutmeg spay cannot completely a surgery in their predetermined timings, they close your animal and send them home. They did it to my cat, saying he was too fat and couldn't find his testicle. I had already paid extra because we knew one testicle was hidden. THEY ALSO KEPT MY MONEY! NUTMEG SPAY IS THE SUPERCUTS OF VETERINARY CARE!) I'll stick with Mark and Kim and the team at Oxford Veterinary, quality veterinary care is not cheap.

Well that wasn't the case when I walked out to pay - $875.00 for a check up! $100.00+ was added for that "no charge" extra test. I was shell shocked. Conclusion: I didn't feel I got bad service - I just felt I was pushed for extra tests, extra prescriptions that he didn't show he needed and of course I was shell shocked at the whole standard panel of tests Plus getting charged for that $0 test I got pushed to get. The girl at the front desk did not care that the doctor said it was no additional charge -s he simply said I had to say it. While I didn't feel I got bad care - just VERY expensive, very possibly unnecessary care. Right after this visit - wanting to buy more prescription food (Cats Corner was out), He took a swab of my cat's ear - looked at it under the microscope and said there is no infection or bacteria that he could see - so he too was puzzled why Dr. Ball would have prescribed antibiotics. Prescribing unnecessary antibiotics is not good for the cat and of course leads to other problems (UTI's etc.) Not to mention over prescribing antibiotics leads to microbes becoming disease resistant. I now exclusively go to Dr. Guzy @ Berkshire Veterinarian Hospital in Sandy Hook.

I specifically wanted a vet that specializes in feline veterinary medicine. I had driven by Cat's Corner plenty of times in the past which led me to look into Dr. Ball and her team. After my visit, all I can say is I wish I had Dr. Ball as Bear's vet sooner. Bear was handled with the utmost care and treated as if he were their own cat. Dr. Ball and Vet Tech Patricia were impressionably knowledgeable and exceedingly compassionate. Cat's Corner goes above and beyond to provide a clean and calm environment for the fur babies. The clinic was designed and operates from a cat's perspective. Details like having a small towel-lined basket for kitty to nest in for security makes a measurable difference in the severity of your cats stress intensity. Dr. Ball and Patricia took their time to thoroughly examine Bear and answer any questions I had. To not feel rushed in and out of the clinic was so refreshing. As someone who is absolutely obsessed with their cat and wants to understand every little thing going on with him, I appreciated the patient education being provided to me without having to ask, both verbally and followed up in writing via email. In addition, as someone who has a chronic illness leaving me immunocompromised, I felt safe as the clinic still enforces strict COVID precautions. This was a breath of fresh air and made me feel like my life mattered as a disabled person. I genuinely could not be more relieved to have found Dr. Ball and her team. Everything about this clinic embodies professionalism and empathy. It was disheartening to see people complain about the cost of care in prior reviews. I encourage those people to look into the costs associated with running a vet clinic, throw in all of the accreditations and continuing education this clinic has. Vet care is expensive everywhere, but in the case of Cat's Corner you get what you pay for. The standards are high here. Everyone who works there is formally trained and qualified as it relates to their role. I live on a fixed income and personally did not find the cost of Bear's visit outrageous by any means. I wanted to leave a detailed review because I know how crucial and stressful of a decision choosing a vet for your cat is, especially if that cat is your entire heart like Bear is for me. In conclusion, I highly recommend Cat's Corner.

The lack of communication regarding pricing, care towards our dog, and any questions we've asked about our dog. Not to mention we've never even had a conversation with the male vet (couldn't even tell you his name) . We recently adopted another dog, and decided to take him to a vet located in Newton and it was a night and day difference. The vet was in the room with us the entire time, explained every medication and vaccine options and answered our many questions that we've been waiting to hear for months from Ansonia Seymour Veterinarian Hospital. not to mention THE PRICE DIFFERENCE. out first visit at the Seymour location, we were surprised with a bill of $600 and 5 shots later (which wasn't explained to us prior) whereas the location in newton explained our options and what is required and what is optional based on lifestyle and we walked out with our dog only getting his rabies vaccine, stool sample + exam fee totaling in $170. They have also withheld vaccine certificates and any additional paperwork because "he needed to get neutered first". It took us 7 months to be able to get any paperwork with his history. We were sacred to find a vet in first place as we have heard many horror stories as far as not being truthful with proper dog care + money hungry, and as unfortunate as it is that is exactly what Ansonia Seymour "Hospital" is. would never recommend this Vet Clinic to any family or friends. And will be transferring my dog to the veterinary in Newton.
