Honestly, they were the star of the meal and something I'd come back for. The brisket and sides were solid, but as someone from Austin, Texas (where the BBQ bar is sky-high), I found them just okay. The brisket had decent smoke but wasn't quite as tender or flavorful as what I'm used to back home. Mac and cheese was creamy, but nothing to write home about, and the beans leaned more toward hearty than standout. The atmosphere is lively - a mix of a beer hall and BBQ joint, with a fantastic selection of beers on tap. Service was friendly and casual, very much in line with the vibe. If you're in Copenhagen and craving BBQ, Warpigs is worth a visit for the hush puppies and the fun brewery atmosphere. Just know that if you're from a BBQ capital like Austin, you may find yourself comparing.

The easiness of the whole thing is also why I would return. If my fridge is one day empty and I can't be bothered to make lunch/dinner, I might go here again.

If you want to eat fried chicken reasonable healthy go for the filet bites or crispy strips, skip the fries and go for some baby carrots and corn instead.

The hot wings definitely deserve a special shout-out; as do the fries, which are just perfection, served with creole mayo. Their menu changes regularly, and they're recently started serving Po' Boy sandwiches for lunch, which I'm eager to try. Staff has always been friendly and attentive, and I'm personally a huge fan of both the location by the lakes and the interior with dark wood and open kitchen. Bottom line is, I cannot recommend this place enough, and I wish I could eat there every day (and not get fat)!

The brisket entree was a small portion of tender beef topped with onions and some herbs. It wasn't quite bbq, almost more like corned beef. The ribs were charred and spicy. The overall texture and flavor was similar to Chinese spare ribs in some ways. The portion was rather generous compared to the brisket. The side dishes really stole the show. The corn bread was spot on and the accompanying sweet and spicy butter brought it to a new level. The French fries had a good texture and weren't over salted. The slaw was not mayonnaisey. It was an Asian style slaw with a light dressing. My wife asked for an extra order to go she liked it so much. Dessert was a mixed bag. The chocolate and coconut ice cream sundae was well-composed but a little gun shy on the flavors. The butterscotch pie was actually a salted caramel pie, delicious, with a buttermilk ice cream that wasn't much to my taste. Service was good and friendly. The atmosphere was approachable and unpretentious.

The menu is smaller, with the only thing on it that seemed customized was the 'The Little Mermaid Burger' (213 DKK), described as braised red cabbage, beetroot chips, orange segments, blue cheese, shoestring onions and brown sauce. It came with thick fries. Not much selection on tap, so got the 2nd most popular Danish beer (Turborg Classic for 79 DKK). Learned that I don't like cabbage or beets on my burger. The meat was good and the fries were excellent. It did fill me up which was the point. They do ask for tip on the payment, but the service wasn't good enough to justify the additional charge...total ended up being $45.64 for burger, fries, and a beer...yeah, it's expensive to dine out in Copenhagen. Before leaving, bought a women's classic t-shirt for my wife for $39.85. I did notice that they identify themselves to credit card companies as 'retail' instead of as a restaurant, even for the food portion of my stay.

The lunch menu looked fantastic and there was many different types of food to choose from, as traditional danish eggcake We had the ceasar salad and for a change there were chunks of fried chicken (with skin) instead of the common skinless fillet. The dressing could have been a real ceasar salad dressing and not seasoned mayonnaise as I believe it was. I've tried all of these except the baked potato. All of which are great! The salad is filled with a lot of different veggies as well as jalapenos, cheese & kidney beans. Making it more exciting. Their scalloped potatoes are super tasty! Super creamy & taste great. I have had it once or twice that they're not the best & taste a bit off & not as creamy, but it's rare this happens. Great french fries. Super crispy & just how they should be. Have also tried their chicken & bacon sandwich (Which on the menu comes with regular chicken but they also have a spiced chicken that is super tasty you can ask for). Their tuna sandwich is good too, but i prefer the chicken sandwich. They make great pizzas as well. I think the best pizzas I've found are: Husets Pizza, Margherita Special & the Salami pizza.
