I just had my first meeting with Mr. Broadwell. He was insulting, demeaning and very unprofessional. I have no experience with lawyers before this meeting, but I hope it gets better than this. I was on time and ready to retain him but after 5 minutes of talking to him I knew he wasn't the lawyer for me. He told me it was common sense I should have printed out information about my case from online and brought them with me, despite no guidance before the meeting. He asked me the names of the men who attacked me and when I said I don't know the detective has that. He said who doesn't know the names of the people who attacked him? Someone who has focused on healing and moving forward then the courts and lawyers. I told him I expected him to get that from the detective, he claimed it was my job to get that information. Said detectives don't talk to lawyers, really? After I got up to walk out, he followed me down the hall yelling insults and telling me I deserved what happened to me. I was the victim of a violent crime, no one deserves that. Little man with way too much ego. A complaint to the BAR will follow. read more
