EDIT 12-Jul-08: well, what do you know. This place now looks like it might have changed names yet again. The awning in front said Bonne Café when I passed yesterday.
This used to be called the Bonne Bouche Café. It's in the Oak Rd pedestrian courtyard, which is one of the entrances to the Ealing Broadway Mall from Ealing Broadway/Uxbridge Rd.
It's a great, independent café that specialises in filled sandwiches. They have several pre-mixed fillings (tuna and sweetcorn, chicken and avocado, chicken and bacon, etc) and several types of bread (baguettes, ciabattas, baps, etc). None are pre-made, they're assembled in front of you.
It doesn't stop there, though, Jacket potatoes, pasta, salads, curries and more can be found. And the sweets go on and on: treacle tarts, almond twists, biscuits, chocolate confections, and more. They have an espresso machine.
The portions for everything are large, and the prices cheap. You can get a massive sandwich for £3.
There are a few tables and a counter inside and several tables outside.
A popular spot for nearby worker to grab a takeaway lunch, and oten very busy with sit-down customers as well. read more
