This makes you just another doctors office. STOP THE BS and wasting people's time when they are in pain & need care. If anyone questions why hospital emergency rooms are used for non life threatening care- this office is one one of the reasons. Lying to the public and actually using a 20 foot neon sign to promote the lie, is rediculous and reprehensable. I will make sure everyone I know to take their business elsewhere. Low and behold, I started experiencing some pain in one of my wisdom teeth whenever I drank cold water. After a month of it getting a little better and then a little worse, I looked into if I was covered with Iowa medicaid and I was. Unfortunately, I am currently trying to find work and need to travel outside the state for the work that I do and had an opportunity where I need to leave next week and everyone I called couldn't get me in for at least a month. Primary Health Care's Dental office takes same day appointments (I believe for medicaid that's the only way they operate) and I was able to call in last Friday and they got me in right away. From the people on the phone, to the receptionists in the lobby, to the person processing my medicaid paperwork, to the dental assistant and finally the dentist (I had Dr. May), everyone was incredibly kind, patient, helpful, and astonishingly efficient. Dr. May explained my situation (I had an abscess) and she came up with a plan where I only needed to have 1 tooth extracted. If that didn't resolve the issue she was going to extract the tooth next to it, but the pain is for the most part gone. They were also able to get me in a couple days later to fill a cavity that she also found. So now I can go find work in the next couple months and won't have to worry about my teeth. Even when I get off Medicaid, I will use them for future dental work as long as I stay in the Des Moines area. Other positives: Immaculate waiting room/clinic--very professional! Plenty of parking. Not the best part of town, but the clinic is safe. Even if you don't have medicaid, they have a sliding scale so you can get reasonable rates. I can't say it enough--the staff are awesome!

Dr. Fornoff was more awesome than I thought, we had a lot to unpack on the doctor from referrals to specialists to getting a script for medical supplies and he did not disappoint, we even got a few items to help us out until we can start getting her medical supplies. I'm so glad I chose this doctor for my daughter, there is no other doctor I would want to go to, would highly recommend

The healthcare team take time to not only answer questions but also provide reassurance and education. I especially like that they talk directly to the kids about their care and engage them in small talk as well. When I used the on call system on a weekend, the doctor was patient, kind, and calming. He also answered questions and didn't just send us off to the ED as a precaution. While my kids don't have any special healthcare needs, I know they have experience working with a variety of patient needs. Highly recommend!
