I've been a customer of North Star Auto Insurance Agency for over 10 years now. I started out with…read morethem when they had a second location in Leon Valley. When they closed that office and consolidated in the West Ave location I stayed because of the staff. She was good and very friendly but not like the staff at West Ave. We have so many vehicles and drivers in my family I get confused, not so for Joe, Dora, Joey, and Francis. They always know exactly what I need and make sure I'm taken care of. They have always been friendly and gone out of their way to accomodate my needs no matter how long it takes. They shop for us and make sure we're getting the best rate available. I've seen Dora multi-task with effeciency and a smile for all, pretty amazing if you ask me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In January they'll start preparing taxes for customers as well. Another thing from now until Feb 5th they are participating in a co-op of small business owners, connected to Revive America Today, who are giving away a free iPad to one deserving customer. Call them and find out how you can get your entry form (and what other businesses you can go to where you can get more entry forms so you can enter the contest more than once.

My experience with 5 Star Auto Hail Repair was absolutely amazing. They repaired over 400 dings of…read morehail damage on the hood and at least 300 on the roof. I had a horrible experience that led me to the shop, which was that I was scammed and the previous person destroyed the cosmetic appearance of the vehicle, they sanded it down when it didn't even need to be sanded, because it needed only paintless dent repair and not a new paint job, took off all interior door panels, door handles, and most other parts of the the vehicle were taken off and thrown in the back and it wasn't even driveable. None of the hail was repaired, there were multiple dings, and the scammer said they would replace hood and did not (the hood didn't even need replaced, only repaired.) Shawn, the owner at 5 Star has made my car look BRAND NEW. He took it upon himself to tell his team what had happened to me, and made a decision to help me out best financially any way he could. He saved me close to $2,000, he even did an interior deep detail without even being asked because of so much dust in the vehicle from the previous person. He re painted the whole car and the paint job is flawless. There were multiple loose parts broken from the previous person that 5 star had to call around to get replaced; and every single thing was put back in its place. When I saw the vehicle fixed I couldn't believe it was made to look like how I first bought it. This business is worth every penny and then some! Here are pictures before the repair and the one after.

It seemed like a fair price and good value. It was also a quick turnaround. Unfortunately, we had to go back to 5Star again after a collision. Samantha was very helpful as well as all the guys in the back. They helped tow our vehicle and then explained every step of the process. We also didn't have to worry about dealing with the insurance because Samantha dealt with all of that for us. We are glad to support a local business and will continue to use 5Star for any future incidents.
