I felt like I was discount shopping with people who didn't listen to what I wanted. Then I made my appointment at Bespoke - Jenn and the Bespoke team knocked it out of the park!! From the moment I walked in it was a friendly and inviting store. We sat and looked at some dress I liked on Pinterest and talked about what I wanted - simple, elegant and made me feel like me. Jenn really listened and is the one who ultimately picked my dress. The process was how I imagined it would be (which was not what happened at the 10 other stores I went to). The dresses at Bespoke are spaced well so you can actually see them, there is no plastic to fumble with, the space is so clean and there is actually room in the dressing room to try on a wedding dress! But equally as important to us was choosing a great wedding photographer who would capture our day, our love, family and the details that went into every decision made while planning our big day. We set out to find a photographer the same week. We did not know Benjamin but had seen his work among 3 other professional wedding photographers that we contacted. Two things we knew: one, we knew that we wanted someone who had proven strengths as a wedding photographer and two, we knew there would be cost for quality. I am not going to lie, it was not easy choosing. We have some amazing talent in Central Oregon and I know of the handful of photographers that we considered, we most likely would have been pleased with their work as individual artists. We chose Benjamin for a few reasons that stood out after looking at his work and interviewing him. He does have a talent for working with light that is pretty amazing. He has an eye for capturing the emotion of not only people but of the scene. He was quick to tailor our wedding package to our needs as well as including our engagement session as a gift. I think the engagement session is a must for any photographer to be able to get to know their clients and how photogenic or un-photogenic they are, their humor, their chemistry etc. For a photographer to know this importance to the point of including a pre-session of sorts as automatic is telling. Finally, like the others we had interviewed, we found Benjamin to be both professional and personal in a way that created ease. I have included some of my favorite shots that speak to how well our day, special place, love and family were captured. If you want a professional wedding photographer I recommend Benjamin Edwards Photography. If you want someone to personally tend to you and the design of your day I recommend Benjamin Edwards Photography. If you want a calm energy as you go through your day with photographers by your side I recommend Benjamin Edwards Photography.
