The law firm is situated in a college town and is one of only a few law firms in that town. The…read morerates and billing charged by this firm are particularly high given the nature of cases they hear and work/effort exerted. Similarly the billing hours listed does not seem to correspond with the effort exerted. Communication between the law firm and it's client is poor, during our particular case the initial lawyer assigned to the case reassigned the case in the middle of the case without notification to us. The day of court (hours before the scheduled time) it was brought to our attention that a balance was due and if it was not paid the law firm would not represent us, this after a 50% down payment was made.

Richard was our attorney for buying our first home. We really cannot praise him enough. He was by…read morefar the best and most comforting part of the home-buying process. He is wonderful at communication and extremely comfortable and knowledgable about the process. He made sure we had considered all details for this specific property (some being sort of one-off issues that I don't think come up normally) and that we were well represented throughout the process. I don't know how his costs compared to others, but in the end we didn't care. For such an important purchase, it feels the best money we've ever spent.
