Where do I begin! New to the area, just moved to AL from NJ to help care for my sick family down…read morehere. Upon moving in my grandmother's large home we found some bathroom water damage. It's now an insurance claim but we'll jump ahead...my father said go to Superior. God I wish I didn't!! This stated back around Halloween, 2 bathroom were supposed to be finished by thanksgiving! December 16 now and still not even close. I called Superior explained everything, they sent Hunter out. (Owner's Son) He took photos, measurements and evaluated the work that would need to be done after the clean out crew was done. One bathroom is average size while the master bathroom is huge with a lot of area to cover in marble. Needless to say, it's a big job for a company and you would think they would jump on this size job. Well, all started out good. Felt great about the company until it was time to order, get the Initial paperwork sent to the insurance company. (estimate values and estimates of repairs for both bathrooms) nearing 2 months now and I have nothing! I had to stay on top of everything. Asking who else can help me because Hunter wasn't! Tile Eventually showed up 2-1/2 weeks or so later and it was wrong. Thank god my grandma looked at before they started to lay it!! Horrible! On top of that the guy was 2 hours late to the house to start the job and had to wait for supplies and went out to get other supplies and lunch. He spend more time away then actually working. That should have been a flag. Unbelievable! So lazy! I would call, I would go in, I would email and sure, everyone seems nice and helpful until you leave or hang up. Yes, they did the sub-floor patch repair and put down some other stuff to get the bathroom ready to tile and now they will NOT be back in this home and will eat the cost of the VERY little they did do. Days of calling and begging for an update, to get someone else to help. Someone to shed light on what was going on. NOTHING!! Just Hunter will call you, Hunter knows and so on. Well for being the owners son you would think he would care more for the family business! End story is they stop responding to me and the insurance company and now we have a different company to the house. I hopes they will get these bathrooms done. Save your time and money, just go to home depot or Lowe's or some other place for your flooring needs. Superiors a joke.

Everything! 1…read more Painted house per paint mfrs instructions, not by quick and dirty get it done and get out meaning early failure, as 3 other painters have done, 2. Touched up 16 yrs of wear and tear of interior, repainted two rooms, installed grab bar at too of stairs, painted bare block "safe room", added epoxy on bare concrete floor, now, instead of looking grim, looks warm, comfortable, 3. Stripped, refinished wood entry, master bath built in cabinetry, 4. Removed old, installed new roof, 5. Repaired work botched by three previous contractors on composite deck aluminum rail system. The previous botched because assumed same as plain wooden deck, refused to read mfr's instructions of how to do, even when I printed, gave them copies of manuals. Amazingly, these guys already knew what to do! Turned a horrific mess into a thing of beauty, as was intended. 6. Last contractor never cleaned up job site, left trash, debris, scrap scattered everywhere, refused to finish the job and clean up mess. But R & J cleaned up the mess, hauled it all away, 7. Garage ceiling dry wall had a crack from side to side, they repaired, refinished. Also epoxied bare concrete floor. 8. I have a "wild" 2 acre yard, let to go to support critters. Due to age, can no longer maintain, keep "clean". They took care of it, did a beautiful job. In short, they were expert at every task I gave them, did meticulous expertly done work, exactly as I have been trying to find locally for the last 17 years, and their pricing was better than any local quotes.

I received multiple quotes and discussed the project with 3 flooring contractors. Wayne was the most knowledgeable and gave us a fair price. Wayne had excellent communication. I normally get very frustrated with contractors because they change the schedule along the way, don't show up on time, etc. Wayne did none of that, the ultimate professional. For the 2nd project, I didn't even get quotes from other contractors because I trust Wayne and knew he'd do a great job for a fair price. He replaced 1000 square foot of carpet with 3/4" hickory hardwood. We had a 2 week gap between buying our new house and moving out of our old house. Our painting contractor used up 8 days of that time and Wayne's crew came in (into an empty house) and completed the whole project in 1 day. It looks great even 4 years later.

The first job they did for us was the upgrade of our master bathroom floor tile and a complete overhaul of our master shower which turned out great. More recently, they put in new tile and backsplash in our kitchen which we are very pleased. Wayne is very good about purchasing all the required supplies at a reduced price and communicating with the customer about the progress completed. Wayne and his folks are hard workers and easy to work with. We totally recommend this company for any tile work you need done.
