A new young instructor named Jayden put goggles on my 6 year old face so tight it left an indent and the blood vessels in her eyes nearly popped. Her father was their with her he seen her struggling through out the lesson. And mentioned standing up multiple times to see what was wrong. He seen her raise her hand to try and get the attention of another instructor and they ignored her and were talking and laughing with eachother. He said the instructor just looked at my daughter while she was in pain waving his hands along to tell her to continue to swim. This is not acceptable and borderline child abuse. Her father was upset. Rightfully so and was cursing and did identy the swim instructor as being black. He did not use racial slurs or anything other then to identify who put the goggles on her. The owner was called he told told him to get off his property and my daughter and him were not allowed back. That was the owners solution. I tried to call multiple times I had to call customer service who did not do anything but give me an email and the email would not go through. Then I got a response from the number they want you text! They said they would refund 1 class that was unused. I had 2 make up classes as well.They refuse to refund me. In their words through text because no one would speak to me in the phone is this. "Refund is for $31 for unused classes in Sept. We do not refund for make up lessons when an Early Withdrawal is placed." I was told prior this incident she could do the make up classes. They kicked my 6 year old daughter out of the class after one of their instructors caused visible harm to my child. Again his name is Jayden. Not once did they show concern or sympathy to my child. Only to talk amongst themselves as to what happen to that white girl. Please watch your children. While they are being taught to swim by children/very young adults. who do not pay attention when your child is visibly in stress or pain. Extremely disgusted in how the owner and his employees handled this situation. And incredibly sad my Baby girl had to go through a traumatic experience like that.

We did the 20 minute semi private and it was a perfect amount of time. We did 2-3 lessons per week for about a month. It has worked wonders! Eric knows not only how to teach swimming, but how to work with little kids. Out of all the $ we have ever spent on our children, I can honestly say this was the best investment we have ever made. We will continue these lessons throughout the year to keep them comfortable.

What's most concerning is that at other pools, he's confident, happy, and able to swim independently. But as soon as we come here, he becomes completely miserable. Unfortunately, we were told we still have to pay for an additional 30 days, plus a $50 registration fee--even though we no longer wish to continue. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.

This consistency is greatly appreciated, by me but especially by my kids, who are still learning to swim, so they grasp at any shred of comfort and familiarity that they can as they conquer their fear of water. This Goldfish, like the one in Carmel, is clean and fun and mellow. The pool is heated to 90 degrees and feels like slipping into a warm bath. Ahhhhhh. The showers, which sit adjacent to the pool and are used to rinse off after the lesson, are also nice and warm. We haven't had lessons at this particular Goldfish yet (we go to a different one), but we've been here for a play date and had a wonderful time. There is a snack bar here, with food items that you can purchase, such as ice cream bars, chips and small candies (in case you need to offer a bribe to get your kid in the water. Hey, it happens.)

Each room has a bench in it and a hook on the wall. It is nice to be able to change in a room instead of a wet locker room or bath room!! This was a big plus for me. The pool room was very warm. And the water was even warmer. The water felt like bath water, 90 degree to be exact. The whole pool was 4'2" deep. And has a bench along the side. It was nice to sit there with my 10 month old son. He liked standing there and holding onto the side of the pool. The staff was very helpful. They were fitting each child with a life jacket, if they needed it. During our swim one of the lifeguards jumped in to help a little boy who was struggling to swim. I wish they had a location closer to the Westside of Indianapolis cause I would love to take my son for swim lessons. With last night traffic it took us almost an hour and a half to get there.

And it's the same great big pool I remember from when I was a kid. The reception area looks the same as it did back when I was a kid. I was a bit disappointed to see the bottom of the pool was exposed concrete with many cracks having been repaired with white epoxy seams. There was crumbled bits of concrete on the floor of the pool that I accidentally stepped on and felt like I was walking on rocks (OUCH). The locker room was okay, somewhat maze like, and could use a face lift. I went to take a shower after my dip and it ran cold to scalding with no opportunity for adjustment in between. Such a great location and facility. With so many possibilities.

The water acclimation class was the right beginning for her to learn swimming. The instructors do a great job in dealing with kids of different age groups. They let parents be involved in the learning process so that our kids won't feel afraid. This helped to slowly build confidence in her and made her comfortable in the pool. The songs make the experience more fun for her. She has a wonderful time at her lessons and that smile on her face is priceless.
