It's such a shame for a small village to have hardly any facilities available to passing trade our group was glad to see this place, that has one side that is used as an antique shop and the other for a tea room. The cafe has not got a hot food licence so can only offer sandwiches and a bowl of soup if you are lucky, we where at least able to get a good cup of tea and something to eat to recharge our batteries. My friend had a sandwich with the only choice available being cheese and tomato, but there is a good selection of home baking on display. The lady that served us was nice and chatty, that made our visit a pleasant experience.

Not only did the owners stay open a little later for us they also allowed us to bring in our wee dog and we were then treated to an assortment of homemade soup, freshly baked cakes and teas and coffees all at a very reasonable price. The two ladies running the shop are just lovely - really friendly and chatty added to the whole experience and you are surrounded by beautiful, ornate vintage homeware and oddities. It's like a step back in time this little gem of a place where your tea is served in beautiful china tea cups and saucers in a homely enviroment. Definitely worth stopping in if you are passing through / in the area.

Many clothes were damaged, and the tag did not mention the damaged item. I understand that items are vintage, but it should be disclosed of the condition of the clothing. The v store was very hot and packed with people. I was unable to look at everything because shoppers kept bumping into me or cutting me off unfortunately. The clothes were not very organized either. It was hard to look through them. If they did crowd control and limit the shoppers inside, I may have had a better experience. This has been the most disappointing shop during my Scotland holiday so far.

It might be a little bit out of the city, but it is truly worth the ride! Housing a wide variety of more modern dresses to classic 1940/50s women's clothing, hats and accessories, this place is perfect for anyone looking to get all dolled up for a special occasion. It is more expensive than the usual vintage places I review, but I have to admit that they have earned it. They have a main dress room, an accessories room and two rooms set aside for wedding outfits - both for brides and for very stylish guests (and mothers!) It may be niche, but gosh darn they have totally nailed it! I love that they know their market and their strengths, and it's really great to see that it was super busy even on a weekday afternoon, which just goes to show that it is a great destination for occasion wear. I'm really happy to share that the staff are really lovely and know a lot about the history of the pieces they're selling (I do love to chat about that whenever I'm buying a second hand piece!) I ended up purchasing my first ever vintage hat here - a ridiculously beautiful powder pink 1940s fascinator complete with the fluffiest ostrich feather I have ever laid eyes on. It's in extremely good condition (to the point I'm certain it's only been worn once or twice and it has been living in a very well to do hat box for the past 70 years) and I was thrilled to bits to learn that was made in bonny Fife! Armstrong's is sprawled out in a vast space, but I quite liked being able to pick through the packed railings in here without having to travel too far! Garments are nicely ordered, well displayed (as you would expect from an Armstrong's store) and have the same fun, frilly vintage appeal. There are spangles galore, not to mention a decent selection of beaten up cowboy boots. It's worth noting that the clothes shipped off to this outlet are considerably cheaper than in Armstrong's proper, with sparkly 70s disco boob tubes coming in at a fiver! They had some nice leather jackets cheaper than I've seen elsewhere, and a good selection of clothing for guys. They had some great offers on denim shirts - if you buy a denim jacket you get one for free! The shirts were dirt cheap as it was and with denim making a big comeback this season, I can see their Lee shirts selling out faster than a speeding bullet. The staff were friendly and relaxed, going about their business while leaving me free to browse. It's a bit more laid back than Armstrong's and with more bargains. Love it!

I personally am a fan of their leather post man bags.My flatmate loved their shoes, which were in very good condition, and not to mention affordable, considering they were leather boots. Their cashmere jumpers are quite nice, and they have a good selection of men's clothing as well. Prices vary depending on the garment in question, and their are some true vintage pieces in here. Whether or not you would ever wear them, or if you question if vintage shops are just over-priced second-hand shops I will leave that to you. I still like the quirky finds in this shop and it's down-to-earth attitude to it's stock. (they even have 70's disco glitter boots for your Abba fever party- not just brand stuff)

Every dress was properly discussed, talked about what I liked and what I didn't like so Stephanie could help us narrow down the dresses a lot more. She was so incredibly respectful, I got changed as she stood outside the changing area and just held a hand out for the dresses. she was so clearly more focussed on making me happy rather than trying to sell me anything. We tried The Dress with a belt and she took it off and said it's too conventional, you're not looking for conventional right now, and was helping me look at Etsy for veils and recommending other places it was just the best experience. The recycling nature of Bliss is amazing in such a wasteful industry. I could not recommend Steph enough, she completely changed how I felt about dress shopping.

The little time I spent there I was able to find some wonderful, and charming pieces of furniture and decor. Having been looking for a larger mirror for my flat for a while I was blown away when I found a large gilded framed mirror which has the Disney's Snow White, magic mirror feel. And best if all it did not cost me a fortune. In fact everything is well priced and charming. I really would like to come back here soon to have a bit more time to look around. Lastly and also very importantly the staff are so approachable and kind natured. They seem genuinely happy to be doing what they are doing and some of them voluntarily. There is a toilet and a tub (both not useable) ! Then a bed in another section, arm chairs , a stove , kitchen are and a garden area as you walk in! It's got really cool wall paper up and it decorated very professionally. A man shopping next to me said "it feels like I'm in someone's home!" Which was the point of the decor so looks like they achieved their desire goal.
