I know some of us don't fancy going to charity shops for any reason especially not to get clothes, we think it cramp our style so we buy only high street stuff. Well I did not go to this charity shop to buy clothes even though I ended up doing just that.
I went there to stock up my library. They had a buy one-get one free book sales for just 99p, wow what a bargain. They were truly good books and you could return the books when you finished reading them as a way of helping out. However, in the process of selecting some of the books, my eyes caught something stereotypically unusual in the shop and that was a designer bag for just £4, I couldn't help but add it to my shopping. By the time I finished, I had spent more than I planned.
The staff was very helpful and I have since gone back to buy crafts that adorn my room, they are so beautiful that I sometimes exaggerate the price whenever my friends ask.
Going to charity shops is also a good way of contributing to charity apart from the normal donations. read more
