I cannot say enough good things about this school. If you are an expat looking for a school to…read morelearn Spanish, this is it.
Previously, I went to two other Spanish schools which were more expensive and did not provide half of the education I received at M&M Languages.
There are a few reasons why:
-Matt, the owner is extremely kind, personable, warm, and accommodating.
-My professor, Maripaz was absolutely amazing. She is engaging, knowledgable, and she cares! Usually after the first week of classes, I start to dread going to the next class, but I enjoyed these classes so thorougly that I found myself excited to go everyday and I didn't want to miss anything in class.
On days that I couldn't make it to class because of work, Maripaz took the time to email me the lesson and the homework.
Maripaz also teaches us things that are so useful. Common phrases and how to use them. Not just stuff from the textbook. I feel more like a human being when speaking to people, instead of like a robot.
-The class sizes! One of my pet peeves when taking a language class is when the classes are so big, you don't get a chance to practice speaking the language. At M&M, the classes have a maximum of 6 students. I felt that I was given sufficient time to practice speaking and answering questions. I could ask when I didn't understand something and I didn't feel like I was holding the rest of the class back. You get to know your classmates more personally and there is a nice bond and confidence that comes from that.
-The school. The school is located 3 minutes walking distance from Monumental station. It is easy to get to.
They have cookies, tea, and coffee for their students too!
They also have a library where you can borrow books in Spanish or English. They are good books too!!!
I finally feel like I understand how to use the grammar I had previously learned. It is a good feeling to be able to put it into practical use.
I whole-heartedly recommend this school.
