Gamston Airport has a lot of the facilities of larger international airports which makes learning to fly much easier, the runways are longer and very well maintained which means mistakes are far less traumatic. In winter they even clear the runway meaning you can still fly and fewer lessons are cancelled. John, Tom and the team always make everyone feel welcome and I owe the speed I achieved my license to them - and they've introduced some cutting edge ground school facilities since then. If you are thinking of learning to fly, or getting frustrated at the smaller grass and tarmac strips - I can't recommend a visit enough!
