My son was with ICS for 3 years, and while at ICS he has grown in so many amazing areas. Not just…read moreacademically but also socially. He would come home every day from school waiting to show his dad and I what he had learned. I remember how he became sad when the weekends would arrived; he would ask me why the school had to close on the weekend. Honestly, if ICS were open on the weekends he would be there. I am so thankful for the hard work and attention Ms. Khouri gives to all the children. They truly LOVE learning...They learned about Composers, famous Artists, Countries, they also learned 3 different languages, Spanish, French and Chinese, they had yoga class, taekwondo, and dance class while my son was attending, they also learned about the human body and how it works, so fantastic.. Thank you -ICS Parent

We teach children French , Spanish and newly added Chinese as our second languages, as well as introduce music and the study of many composers with our students. In class, our students "travel" to a different country as they learn about the world and its people. We take pride in our diverse classroom and teach our students to appreciate the beauty of other cultures. Our age group would be classified under Daycares, Nursery School, Public Pre-schools and Kindergartens however the benefits at our school have far exceeded parents' expectations...

A mediocre school in a spectacular location…read more Our child attended for first and second grade. We withdrew her after the school's anti-bullying policy was waived for a classmate who joined the class in her second year. This occurred despite repeated requests for action throughout the school year were met with assurances that the school was on top of the situation, while ignoring a very clear policy posted in the classroom that delineated consequences for specific behaviors. We learned the full extent of this one child's physical abuse of our daughter and others at a birthday party after the school year ended, too late, according to a co-owner, to get the re-enrollment fee refunded. When our child returned to public school we learned how The Renaissance School's lack of academic rigor negatively affected her progress in math and science, in particular, and set her behind her peers in spelling. That said, the school's environmental and social education was exceptional. The facility, in the magnificent Shelburne Farms' "Farm Barn" was very cool. We're somewhat glad to have spent a couple of years there, but disappointed that the lofty cultural standards proved to be a sham in the face of a young bully with strong parents. (Rather like having Draco Malfoy in your class.)
