Dr Brisbane is so patient and his staff is phenomenal. They always make us feel comfortable. They ran a test for our dog's allergies and have been walking beside us as we find the best solution for our pet and our budget.

This is Maggie who loves the nurses and Dr.

Northland Mobile Veterinary Clinic - Mobile vet! So easy and much better for my dog!

Northland Mobile Veterinary Clinic

We changed vets to Dr. Kovac late last fall, after it became clear that our 13 year old Sheeba…read moreInu/mix needed some dental work. Our pup would get very anxious around other dogs, and we liked the idea of her being the only dog "in the office", and had heard good things about Dr. Kovac. His ability to calm and gain trust with animals before and while "doing his work" sets him apart from other vets, and is his absolute priority. Witnessing his approach upon our first visit with him, made me regret not finding him sooner. He cares deeply about the health and comfort of his patients and their humans. After a short battle with bone cancer, we recently realized it was time to let our dog go. I had been staying in touch with Dr Kovac since her initial diagnosis for guidance and reassurance, and made the call for the final appointment. He gave me the information I needed to be certain that I was making the right decision and graciously took the time to make a plan to help my daughter (who has some disabilities, and was best friends with our pup) understand, accept, and actively participate in the decision with the family. Our dog passed peacefully and with dignity in her favorite spot, in the sunshine, with her people close. It is difficult to articulate our gratitude for Dr. Kovac after this experience. But I can say that that I have never met a more gracious, kind, skilled, experienced, and compassionate vet. When we're ready to bring a new dog into our family, we know who our vet will be. Thank you, Dr. Kovac.

The trailer was spacious & clean with all necessary equipment. My dog has had surgery 3 times and this was the easiest. The incision is small and looks fine. I got 3 other quotes and this was the most inexpensive too. I completely trust Dr Kovac and absolutely recommend!

After calling what felt like a million trainers in KC, I still had no luck. I'm not sure if it was because of my dog's breed or her behavior issues or what, but it was so frustrating. I was out on a run near my neighborhood and saw tons of Dogs by Debin signs (the one with the pink dog on it) and I realized that it was located at Amity Woods Animal Hospital. When I got home I did some digging online and discovered that Dogs by Debin rescued animals and I knew that they would know someone that could help me out. So I called them and they immediately gave me the contact info for a local trainer, Robert Masters from Dogs Listen to Me, and voila, I had a consultation set up with him ASAP. You can tell that Dogs by Debin really love what they do and that they're great at it! I'm attending a new volunteer orientation this week because I'm so moved by their serivce and I'm pumped to help out their cause! p.s. I'll review Dogs Listen to Me after we have some training completed :)

We had to take our pit bull mix to the emergency vet after she got out of the fenced yard during a…read moresnow storm and was hit by a car. She had some road rash and was obviously very sore and tired. I called around, frankly, to compare prices and get a feel for where we were going to take her to get checked out. There is another clinic in the northland, a local chain, that we've had to use before. I got the feeling, from the telephone call and our previous experience with them, that they were going to try to 'upsell' me treatment and tests that might not necessarily be required. They discussed her needing an ultrasound, sight unseen. Their price for a basic exam was $15 higher than the MU emergency vet, X-rays-if needed- were quoted at twice the price. MU's reviews were higher and their thoughts on the situation sounded reasonable, so we went to the MU clinic. To say we were not disappointed is an understatement. The staff was friendly, attentive and understanding. Dr. Fry did a thorough physical exam, assessing her joints for range of motion and smooth movement, the level of pain she felt with movement, the color of her gums and the capillary refill rate, palpated her abdominal organs, checked her temperature, and more. He watched her walk. He was very soothing and gentle with her. He said he didn't really think any X-rays or other tests were necessary based on his findings. He gave us antibiotics for her flesh wounds, didn't recommend putting her through cleaning them as it would be painful and unnecessary because they were already scabbed over. He even discussed what pain meds we already had at home and said that they would work just fine, which saved us some money. They provided appropriate, conservative, and loving care, advised us to follow up with our regular vet in a week or so and to bring her back to them if she seemed to feel worse at all. Before we even walked into their competitor's practice, I knew I would be looking at a $500+ bill there. Exam and medicine at the MU clinic was $124 Comparing the cost and quality of care we received at their competitor in the past with the care we received tonight, there is no doubt where we will go if we have another emergency arise.

We had just moved to the area from Tacoma, WA and had no ER or veterinary service outside Fort Leavenworth, KS. We still received over the phone guidance without being regular customers. Woodrow continued to get sicker throughout the evening and we brought him in for diagnosis and treatment around 10pm on Friday night. Dr. Gants and team quickly evaluated and treated Woodrow for HGE. It's been almost 48hrs and Woodrow is doing great! The whole team was extremely professional, compassionate, and expeditious in treating Woodrow. Thank you!
