There was mold all over the place, the walls were covered in black mildew (we had to bleach the walls, no joke.) After 3 months of fixing up his house, repairing things such as the swamp cooler and cleaning up the back yard, we were wrongly evicted (also unknowingly). The backyard had tons of trash, which we cleaned and brought to the curb (there was also already a bunch of trash on the curb). After many times letting "him" know he never got the trash picked up, the city of Denver wouldn't do it because of the nature of the trash. We eventually got a fine from the city, let the landlord know so he could pay it, and he never paid it. Somebody came and told us to vacate in 72 hours, which we were fine with because it was a terrible place in a terrible neighborhood. In hindsight I can see we were evicted, but having never have been evicted before I didn't know. Fast forward 6 months trying to join the lease on my pregnant girlfriend (now wife) and they won't allow me to because I have an eviction. Moral of the story: do not get risk your clean record for the benefit of this less than tolerable company.
