Really glad I came back here as last time it was at the hospital and was not a pleasant experience. The radiologist remembered me. Had done her homework asked some questions to make sure everything is good. Checked the files before hand and gave me enough time to remain calm. I'm not good at this stuff. Boob clamps are not my thing, even if you replaced the lovely lady with a strapping sample of eye candy it still wouldn't be my thing but totally necessary. Just waiting to see doctor and have a ultrasound and the my results of the mammogram. Fingers crossed no new baddies invading my body. But my brain is also now programmed that I will return here for my next check up as it takes the fear, which I do have, out of the whole examination process.

This was something I totally…read moreneglected to think about until it was already upon me, and I realized I only had a few weeks of Allegra-D left. After finding out the German name from a doctor friend, I decided to see an allergist. Need allergy medicine? See an allergist. Makes sense, right? Except that every English-speaking allergy doctor I came across was booked for months. That wouldn't do. Instead, I decided to see a regular practitioner. Of course, I encountered a similar problem. All the doctors were either booked for months, or on the other side of town. I, for one, would like to be able to walk a few blocks or take a short bike ride to see mine. Well thank goodness for aerzte-berlin.de - I was able to put in advanced criteria and when looking for English-speaking doctors in my neighborhood, came across one just a couple blocks away. I quickly called and was told to come in and wait. The reception area is super small and it took a while to be helped, although I don't think that was any fault of the people working. Once I registered, I waited in an adjoining room for maybe 5 or 10 minutes before I was seen. The wall is covered in (faded) reprints of Van Gogh and Monet paintings - a nice touch when compared with some of the awful art I've seen on office walls elsewhere. The seats were multi-coloured with shiny plastic shells - they reminded me of M&Ms... I can't say anything about Dr. Cotanidis, but as for Dr. Engert, he was great. I immediately told him that I heard he spoke English, and he switched right away - and speaks it well! He sat down with me, took the time to not only hear what I needed but also ask the appropriate follow-up questions, and then accompanied me to the front and waited until my prescription was given to me. All in all, the experience was about 30 minutes. I got what I came for and left with a good impression. Extra note: In addition to speaking English (and German), Turkish is also spoken here.

I went to Dr. Liccini for pain in my legs…read more First, I was refused treatment unless I paid $50 in cash since my health insurance was from a private company. When I asked if this could be done via transfer since, I was not carrying that cash at the time, I was told to leave. I left and took money out of the bank with sore legs, could barely walk. Then stood in the waiting room for 40 mins. My major problem is with the diagnosis. I was told to take pain medication and stay off the legs for 4 weeks. There was no further investigation into what could be causing the problem. no ultra sounds, no referral.. which I find extremely careless and irresponsible. Now, 5 months later after seeing another Doctor, I am finally closer to a diagnosis, since being to an orthopedist and radiologist.

She is a very knowledgeable and thorough English-speaking physician. I never felt like a patient on an assembly line and she has always been very helpful. Her staff is also cheerful, polite and fast and the office is well located, spacious and comfortable. Very highly recommended!

He is open to "alternatives" to pharmaceuticals, something my previous specialist was not open to at all. He has conferred with a few of my other doctors too, which is something none of the others have done. He has also tried to work on items on my list himself instead of sending me to someone else first. His suggestions have all been great.
