When one of my…read morechild's existing providers needed to change an appointment day, we were able to easily get in with another doctor. The building is super convenient with lots of parking. It's easy to navigate and find the office you're looking for. I will say, the check in and check out processes are exhausting. When we arrived, only one check in kiosk was working. I helped an elderly patient work the system as well as it's not super intuitive like other U of M self check in kiosks have been elsewhere that I've used. The check in line without the self check kiosk is long, think 12 patients long. Checking out requires you to wait in the same long line. It goes by faster than you think, but it took me 15 minutes to get through. Someone with a physical injury may be hard pressed to stand in line for 15 minutes. My toddler was tired and cranky and that was hard enough. I think they need a speedy lane for those with physical ailments or others that have a hard time physically standing. It would be excellent for there to be a large-print sign letting patients with physical disabilities know they can enter a different queue. The doctor we saw through Kellogg Eye Center there was top notch, as they all are, but I may opt for driving to Ann Arbor for future appointments.

I have several chronic health conditions. He has helped me so much. With each visit he sits down looks over his notes from our previous visits and will follow up on those first and than we'll talk about any new conditions that may have come up. He sits and listens to me no matter how long it takes. He didn't just throw pills down your throat he offers you suggestions and if you tell him you don't want pills and ask him for advice on how to best treat the condition without meds he'll give you recommendations and even books to read to self guide you. If I have a problem prior to my visit I've emailed him on the patient portal and he's always emailed me right back right away. Usually within 24hrs but it never takes that long. When test results come in he emails me with results and concerns and tells me what to do next. We have A great communication system that works best for us when I'm not at my appointments and I love it. I dit know what I'd do without him. I've never been misdiagnosed, I've never been forced to have vaccinations I choose not to have and he's never made me feel uncomfortable able not getting one. I'm even a smoker and while he does lecture me on quieting smoking, he doesn't go over board or make it uncomfortable for me to talk to him about it. When I have a health conditions he just can't treat he has no problems telling me that abs refers me to a specialist. He doesn't run unnecessary test. But if you ask him about if you think you need it he'll give you his input and the two of you discuss it together and I've never walked away thinking gee was he right about that. He's helped so much I wouldn't know what to do without him. He's changed my life on do many ways and I'm so grateful to him for that. Came here in search of a new doctor. I had seen positive reviews on several sites about Dr. Patrick…read moreBrennan. When I called I was told he was not accepting any new patients. There is another doctor there, Dr Jennifer Burlingame so I made appointments for my son and myself. ( I cannot find any reviews on her as of this date) My sons first appointment was made for 3:00 but the day beforehand I was called and they moved his appointment to 3:40. When we arrived at 3:30 we were told that we had missed his appointment and since the office is a "very busy" one that he could not be seen. I told her how we had been called and told the time for the appointment had been changed and for her to just forget it and to also cancel the appointment I had for the following week. She said then that he could be seen. So we sat and waited.. and waited. We waited 25 minutes in outside waiting room and then another 35 minutes in the back. It was over an hour to see the doctor. I thought it would be better for my appointment. I got there just before 2:00 for my 2:20 appointment. The outside doors are locked from 1:00 until 2:00 for lunch. I thought.. wonderful... since I was first inside and had an appointment just after lunch. surely my wait would be minimum. There was only one other patient waiting who came in after I did. The other patient was called back first and then I was called after. At 2:40 my son texted to see what the hold up was. The doctor showed up just after 3:00. Visit with doctor was about 10 minutes. Third trip was better with only about 20 minutes of a wait for my son, it was a just after lunch appointment as well. The doctor seems very nice but my first rating will be in the middle and is most influenced at this time by the long waits. As we have more interactions with the doctor I will edit/update my review.
