We are here simply because of location to my daughter's school, our parish, and grocery/shopping. The grounds are very well maintained and over all the community is quite. However, if you are over the garages (like we are), it is noisy and poorly insulated. In the winter my heat is set at no higher that 65 and my gas bills are close to $100/mo and the floors are freezing, similarly in the summer, electric for AC is close to $150/mo with the temp set at 78. When I owned a 24oo sq foot home, these were the rates I paid, this should not be the case for a 2 bedroom 1300 sq foot apartment. Parking is also an issue--our neighbors in particular have 4 cars--two which are their kids, they keep one in their garage and one outside. If I have any guests, there is no parking and if they parallel park, nasty notes are posted on windshields. My car is too large to park in my garage so it is parked in front of my garage. Overall maintenance is on top of things that are easy to fix the day of the request. However, the first year we lived here it took 3-4 months to get the garage door fixed (in the winter). This year it is the patio door--air is leaking which contributes to higher heating bills. With the issues noted about, paying a rent (plus trash removal) of $1529/mo is a little steep, especially when heating/cooling bills are so high as well.

I would caution any potential renter to seek other options in the area. The competitor complexes…read moredown the road are newly renovated and may give you a better experience. Our experience was incredibly disappointing, offensive, and unprofessional on lease end. I lived in the complex with my fiance from 2018-2019. We were in residency training, and all of our friends were living in Ann Arbor. We had no pets, used the house exclusively for work and research, and never had guests. The refund statement included a number of ridiculous items that made no sense, including but not limited to: "Remove Trash in Apartment/Extra Cleaning-I'm not sure what this is referring to. We spent 2 days clearing the apartment completely, wiping down all corners, and making sure everything was gone. I'm not sure what this is referring to in terms of extra cleaning. Garbage was all left, double bagged, outside, the day before trash day as appropriate. Large items were removed in accordance with previous protocols. In fact, I called the office 2 weeks before moving to clarify, left a message, and nobody called me back." ""A freezer leak" which suddenly appeared-I'm not sure what freezer leak to which you are referring. We did intermittently see some water accumulation on the kitchen floor. This WAS reported to Aberdeen of Brighton, and the young man who works in maintenance with the glasses had been over before. He evaluated the sprinkler system directly above the spot of accumulation, as well as the refrigerator, and reassured us nothing was wrong. Interesting to find out that something is suddenly problematic after leaving" "Carpet removal/cleaning for urination/pet"- We do not nor have we ever had a pet on the house. Is the suggestion that carpet was urinated on by a human? I'm unsure of the inference here." Overall, this list is highly inaccurate, unprofessional, and would be grounds for reporting on every social media mechanism possible. We were 2 resident physicians at the time of living in the apartment with, no pets, who never had friends or guests over, and these accusations are ludicrous. I have called the office for further explanation but it seems management is away. Most importantly-you CANNOT get anyone from the management company on the phone. In summary...avoid renting here. You've got plenty of other options right up the road, and a number of beautiful condo complexes in Howell just up the road, New Hudson, and Novi depending on where you work.

This is the worse apartment I have ever leased…read more The water is disgusting!! My hair and skin will never be the same. All tenants told me to NOT USE THIS WATER!! There is little if any insulation. The cold permeates the entire 500+square feet. The slightest wind blows through outdated windows some of which are cracked with missing glass pieces. The parking area is either a dust bowl or mud pie. It is dangerous and I was told if I wanted the sidewalk to the apartment door cleared of snow the tenants would have to "get off their fat asses" and do it themselves. The owner is seemingly a personable guy who is eager to take your money with little return. Not a slum lord but most certainly a crum-lord. After being questioned about outrageous electric bills for 6 months he lied straight to the face of a women who was battling breast cancer that her high electric was due to the refrigerator when in fact, her electric was also feeding the hot water heater which supplied 5 apartments including all the outside lights for the building itself. After being found out he took over the electric but now keeps the hot water just about room-temperature. I still have not received a lease signed by him even though I have sent in my copy early September. The caretaker takes being slacker to a whole other level. Lots of blah, blah, blah with little action. I count down the months until I am outa here. If you are a complete drunk you would do well here. Afterall, WHO CARES?!!!
