She responded to my initial message and told me she would take me on as a client, even offered to start pro bono while I transitioned from Medicaid to private insurance. She claimed she had experience with my diagnosis and made it sound like she actually cared. Spoiler: she didn't. The first appointment comes. She doesn't show. No email. No call. Nothing. I text. No reply. I call the office. Someone picks up and says they'll reach out to her. Nothing. I call again. No answer. No follow-up. But guess what does show up for the next several months? Appointment reminders. Emails. Texts. Notifications for sessions I never had because this therapist never once showed up or contacted me again. Fast forward four months later and I get a call at night from some man claiming to be the office manager (Darrell Jamison) He starts asking questions like I was some sort of suspect, not a patient failed by his staff. Turns out they're "checking in" because there are multiple cases like mine. Multiple people who were offered help and then ghosted while somehow records are showing they had multiple sessions. He literally read out that I had 7 or more sessions. I have never seen this woman in my life. That is insurance fraud. That is playing with vulnerable people's mental health for profit. And when I expressed that I was hurt, angry, and violated, the manager minimized my reaction and tried to assure me I had nothing to worry about if I never actually saw her. Are you serious? You don't just disappear on a client struggling with abandonment issues after promising support. That is textbook retraumatization, not to mention wildly unethical. To anyone considering this practice: run. You are not crazy. You are not overreacting. What happened to me was manipulative, damaging, and possibly criminal. I've since demanded written confirmation that no services were rendered and if I find even one claim on my insurance, I'll be pursuing legal action.

Physical therapy told my husband and I that I would never walk again and stated that I really neededto be trained to live in a wheelchair. To make a long story Short, I am now an outpatient physical therapy. Though I spend time in a wheelchair, I am learning to walk and will be able to do so with a walker independently. Additionally, the medical Director came to my husband and I and told us that I was dying, and should be placed on hospice. that was two years ago. All of my doctors are completely confused as to why he would've came to that conclusion. When we refused hospice, and refused to accept that I could not be taught more independent living, they discharged me. The facility itself is beautiful. It is clean and well-managed. However, they did not provide what I needed from them. Have they done so, I believe that I would be further along than I am now. Again, the good news is that I am progressing dramatically at this point.

It was arranged for her to go to Lorien Mays Chapel. I am writing to tell you that Lorien Mays Chapel was very disappointing and that my mother dramatically deteriorated there. Although they say the right things and have a lot of staff with all sorts of titles, they are really not set up to manage elderly women with dementia. They put her on a vigorous regimen of PT and OT which wore her out and there appeared to be a complete disconnect between their administrative staff like the dietician and their floor staff. In fact, the latter were more concerned about their break times and getting food from the small luncheonette there than with my mother. Lorien Mays Chapel has a good reputation and I think that for relatively healthy young to middle aged men or women who just need a little PT or OT, it is probably fine. However, for older individuals who need more care and attention, in addition to PT and OT, Lorien is not the place to send them. Seeing my mother deteriorate so quickly at Lorien, we managed to get her out of there relatively quickly - weak, very disoriented, and on oxygen 24/7. After returning back to her assisted living facility where they are better setup for her issues, she is much stronger and active again.

As the practice grew, I was pushed through their system with many doctors. (loh, Arain, shiv, Ebo) I liked Dr Ebo, he was the primary care for my family (except my mom) Fast forward they open their Dundalk location and now are a one stop shop, which is great. Scheduling appointments to see your treating physician is not easy, they dont have openings for weeks or when you call to make an appointment they want you to see their NPs. With that said, Charlie, the "nursse mgr" informed me that "Mace Medical has 20,000 patients and when he speaks he speaks for all the doctors there, if your not happy, find another provider" Charlie also proceeded with snark comments regarding my Jan. 25th 2025 visit with Dr. Ebo Yes, after 30 yrs of primary care, the Doctors there allow their staff to dismiss patients. Through their Healow app I requested a prescription refill to hold me over because I found a new doctor. Just like that, my refills were sent and they took away my access to their app, which was medical records and history needed for a new primary. If you're looking for a family friendly doctors office, this is no longer the place to go.

He even offered to give me his personal cell number if I had any problems! I refused of course, but it says a lot to me when a physician gives you their personal phone number. In this day and time of impersonal doctors that run their clinics like a factory line, it is the opposite with his clinic. His intake nurse Candy was the nicest person. She answered all of my questions, and was patient. His staff always provides a warm blanket for you while you are waiting. Noone is snappy or has a bad attitude. They also follow up with you to see how you're doing after your procedures. I know it's probably protocol, but still I think that's nice that they do that. They are quick to respond if you leave a message for a return call. His front receptionist assisted me with a note for work specified the way I needed it. I really appreciated that! Dr. Suchin is the only doctor in this clinic, so wait times can be long, depending on what's going on that day. He is also extremely busy, which may push appointments out months. But even with that being said, he never rushes you or is rude.
