The cons. I could not continue to see Dr. Johansouz because of the direction she wanted me to go in regard to the second tooth. I had consulted her about the tooth being sensitive to food and beverages that were hot or cold. She wanted me to get a root canal under a bridge. The first root canal specialist did not want to do it because of the 3 roots. The second one did not think a root canal could be save and restore the tooth. I would also lose the bridge and I can not afford to invest in another bridge. Medicaid was not going to pay for it. The third root canal specialist is that he does not do root canals underneath the bridge. The root canal can also fail and crack the tooth. The tooth had stopped bothering me after another dentist had presribed mouthwash for it. He told me to hold off on the rooth canal since the tooth was no longer bothering me. On my last visit, Dr. Johansouz again continue to tell me that I needed a root canal or I would have to get an extraction. It would be my expense and her profit. It would also get me into debt. Dr Johansouz only cared about the profit and not my welfare. It would cost me 1000's of dollars. I could no longer see a dentist that was going to harass me to get a root canal or get an extraction. If I could not get the root canal, she would want me to get an extraction so she can make her profit that way. She was right about the 2nd tooth being in jeopardy. There was nothing I could do to get this tooth treated. I can not afford to spend 1000's of dollars for another bridge. The dentist I saw today said that the tooth can not be restored and said all I can do for the time being is to keep the bridge. Part of the tooth was cracked off. I also want to avoid getting an extraction and a partial denture. Dr. Johansouz was not going to leave me alone about the root canal or I would have to get an extraction if I did not get the root canal. I had to stop seeing Dr. Johansouz anyway because she stopped being a participant of my insurance.

The other day, a huge inflammation was seen right below the silver crown. Noticing something was wrong, we visited another pediatric dentist. The new dentist took the x-ray and recommended that we take the tooth out because the silver crown was not sitting properly and likely had cavities inside. One the surgery was done, we noticed that the spacing between the crown and the teeth was so large that the food would get stuck, unable to be brushed, and leaving room for new cavities, not to mention that the old endodontic surgery was done improperly and developed further cavities (leading to inflammation). My kid is only 5 years old and was supposed to use the tooth for another 3-4 years before the adult tooth would come out. According to the new pediatric dentist we visited, it's likely that the old dentist didn't grind away the molar enough to put smaller crown to save time, but rather used bigger silver crown to save 10-15 minutes! Come dental dentists are always running against time and will never treat patients right. They look at patients as nothing but money. No doctor ethics. I hope other parents would not have to go through what we went through.
