i'm not one to leave a bad review but i had a really unpleasant experience with this practice. the woman who made my appointment/checked me in was lovely and the dental assistant who did my x-rays was so kind. the doctor however was extremely condescending and lacked bedside manner. my appointment was 4:15 and i walked in the door at 4:16, i was given paperwork and told to sit. i sat for 2 minutes before the lovely assistant called me back. she said after x-rays i could finish the paperwork. x-rays were done and she gave me the paperwork back and said the doctor would be in shortly. not even 2 minutes later the doctor (who didn't introduce herself, i still don't even know who i saw at my visit) came into the room and just stood there. i turned my head and she says "i see you're doing paperwork but that's why we tell you to come 15 minutes early". i was not once instructed to come in early for paperwork and i even called that morning to request a later time in the day due to my work schedule. i explained that no one told me to come early and i apologized multiple times due to the fact that i work in healthcare and i understand the frustration. we reviewed the x-rays and she left the room to get a price sheet for the work i needed done. she then came back in the room, stood in the corner and yawned as i finished my paperwork. i asked her if i should leave the exam room to finish the paperwork, as she made me feel i was inconveniencing her. she said i needed to complete the paperwork before i could be handed the price sheet. i finished the paperwork and was handed the price sheet, she explained it well but with a few unnecessary condescending remarks. i truly don't remember the last time a doctor treated me this way and i can't help but feel like it was because i was the last patient of the day and she wanted to leave. i do not recommend this place to anyone and if you come here maybe make an appointment earlier in the day so you will be treated like an actual human being. read more

I just cannot believe how rude and unprofessional Dr. Stein is. The first thing she did was ask me who referred me to them. I told her and said I was glad to find a Periodontist who took my insurance. She said that if she didn't have to take my insurance, she wouldn't. She said it wasn't even worth it and all Dentist's should refuse insurance because of the poor reimbursement. She checked my gums and hurt me several times and didn't even care. Not very compassionate. I said are my gums bleeding and she said yes. I didn't even get to rinse my mouth out. She wanted to pull four of my top teeth. I said how am I supposed to eat? Coming from an ex employee. This was in fact the worst job i have ever had. The staff has talked shit about 90% of the patients as soon they hung up the phone, or saw their name on the appointment sheet for the day. I worked there for a week. I was treated poorly everyday. I had an emergency with my diabetes on Thursday. I come in friday to be told from my manager that my co-worker was accusing me of saying stuff that i never said. She told the entire office i said it. Of course my manager did not believe me. Then she says i roll my eyes when i got up from my chair. I know i did not. The things i was accused of is not who i am. i would not cheer that there's only 3 patients left of the day. nor would i roll my eyes. They very poorly train you when you get hired. The mail guy came. I gave the mail to my manager because 1. i didn't want it sitting up at the desk 2. I didn't know what else to do with it. She said "why are you giving this to me? i don't take it" as if she taught me what i was supposed to do with it. My co worker would give me all of her paper work that needed to be done then when i tried to complete that work and did not want to hear the lecture on what i knew, she spoke about me under her breath for hours like she wasn't a 60 year old woman. Then i'm asking my manager about days off for my braces and she tells me that won't happen. She says to take the last app of the day. I say okay cool that's fine. no problem. Her reply to that then was, "i don't think full time will work out for you" as if i did not just agree. They expect you to know everything before you start to work there. i was treated so poorly. These people do not care about their patients. Dr Stein and Vanita and the dental assistant might. but that's all. The people in the front office will talk shit about you, do not care if you have work, do not care if you're waiting 50 minutes for your appointment. They do not care. At all. They are so rude and so insensitive and it was just so unbelievable. It is such a toxic work environment. I would not recommend to anyone. They will also cancel and move your appointments and not tell you nor call you so when you show up at the wrong time YOU look like the idiot. it's also so dirty behind the desk and have paperwork waiting to be done from 2019 read more

I tried many times to make appointments for my children. After waiting many months because of the pandemic I came to my appointment and it was cancelled. They didn't call the right phone number or have the correct email. The staff is just not apologetic or polite. read more

Finding a good endodontist in your area and in your insurance plan is very difficult. I can't believe I was lucky enough to find Joanne at Brighter Dental in Freehold. She not only understood the complicated referral process, she was able to get my husband in the same day! Joanne is knowledgeable, thorough, competent and kind. She took the trouble to call my insurance, make sure the billing was done correctly and called me back to walk me through the whole process. She is the absolute best of the best!! read more

They rearranged their schedules to make sure that I could be seen ASAP. I was so nervous to get the root canals and they made me feel very comfortable. It was so quick and easy! I had an accident and needed a tooth repaired. The office staff worked to get in touch with the insurance company to get me the pre-approval I needed. Once inside, I was welcomed and treated as highly as other clients. Wait time was minimal & I never felt rushed. He went back to the room himself without me and put his full trust in the friendly ,professional staff. My 18 year old son was being treated by this dental group. After a visit he was told that he had a cavity in a rear tooth by wisdom tooth and to best treat the cavity he had to remove wisdom teeth. So he had his wisdom teeth removed. He went back to BD to have the cavity treated but he was then told he needed root canal. An 18 year old needing root canal? so we went for a second opinion, and were told he didn't even have a cavity!!! Stay Away! read more

The last two times I've visited this office I feel like I walked out with my teeth in much worse shape then when I arrived. The first time I let it go, after some research. At the last appointment, during another procedure teeth were filed that I was not there for treatment on, without my permission or explanation as to why. I now experience constant sensitivity with these teeth, having to really watch what I eat, that was never a problem before. I will not be completing my dental work here or getting my now overly sensitive teeth repaired by this practice. My family and I will be finding a new dentist. read more

DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE!!!!! I was told I needed over $500 worth of dental work that I don't need. Luckily I got a second opinion from the dentist I used my entire life prior to moving and changing dentists. They want you to schedule an initial consultation appointment in which they won't even perform a cleaning if that's really all you want. Then they want you to schedule another appointment soon after that to come in for whatever work they deem necessary. Additionally, they told me that in my first year as a patient they wanted me to come in every 4 months for cleanings (3 cleanings in the year). I've never in my life heard of any dentist office suggesting that, unless perhaps you have really bad teeth. I assure you, my teeth are in great shape. This place is just out to make money if you ask me and it's a joke. Yes the office is nice and the staff is pleasant as well, but that's about where the benefits of this office stop. read more
