They go all out and it is a big outreach to the Moorhead and West Fargo community. They have a live praise and worship team for the kids so the music is so fun and lively, and the kids have a great time worshiping the Lord and learning about the love of Christ. We've gotten to know many of the pastors on staff through the "New Crew BBQ" the church puts on - the church puts on a BBQ so new people can get to know the pastors and others in the church. I love this because it is a larger church but with a little effort you can easily get to know people. Also, we've gotten to know so many wonderful people. When my husband's father passed away, the church came along side of us with calls, a beautiful plant was delivered to our house a year later on the day to let us know they were thinking of us, and also grievance brochures to help us process the grief we felt during the year. I cannot say enough about how this church strives to be the hands and feet of Christ to our community. The pastors and staff always stay true to the Word of God, the Bible, and points us to the grace and forgiveness we have through God's Son, Jesus Christ. If you're looking for a home church, don't be intimidated by the size. In my experience, this church is filled with kind people who love the Lord and want to serve our community so they can know more about Jesus too.

My children (ages 2 & 5) have attended daycare at WeeKare Childkare center since November 2010. Our…read moredaughter also attended preschool here this year, she had attended at another private facility prior to that. When she started, the staff helped her adapt quickly and she picked right up where the last school left off. She progressed very well and is well-prepared for Kindergarten, so I believe the preschool teachers at WeeKare are right on-par with most other preschool programs in our community. There is pickup / dropoff service available for the school-aged children, and children are eligible to attend before/after school care there until the age of 10. The kids are bussed in vans equipped with boosters and the drivers are all certified. They also transport to field-trip activities. The facility is always kept very neat and clean. There is plenty of space for the kids to eat and play, they nap on separate cots and have a separate attached bathroom right off the 2-year-old room (for potty training). There is an enclosed playground attached to the building. The adult-to-child ratio is excellent, never seems like the staff is overwhelmed, despite the fact that their jobs are pretty stressful in my opinion! Parking is sufficient, at peak dropoff / pickup times you may have to wait a maximum of a couple minutes for a spot but it is really not much of an issue. WeeKare's hours are awesome, they are open from 7 am - 7 pm, closed only for the 5 major holidays, and very rarely closed for inclement weather (a rare situation in Fargo!) I believe their part-time rates are quite flexible, although both my children attend full-time. When we go on vacation, they do require 1 weeks' notice, but we get a reduced rate when the kids are absent. After attending for 1 year, each child accrues a week of "paid time off". Their price structure is very similar to other centers in town, maybe even less expensive, considering what you get for your dollar here. To me, it is totally worth every penny having the peace of mind knowing my children are cared for in this kind of stable environment. The staff has overall been extremely patient, loving, down-to-earth and organized. The administration is friendly, communicative, and seem to be good people-managers because the staff does not appear to have a lot of turnover. Any issues (few if any in our time there) brought to their attention have been nipped in the bud immediately. The daily planned activities are educational and age-appropriate, and they hold lots of field trips for the preschool aged kids and outside time for everyone when the weather is nice. The field trips are about 1 per month for the 4+ kids, many of which are free of charge. Sometimes parents will be asked to provide a sack lunch or occasionally a minimal fee (usually $1 - $3), my daughter really looks forward to her fun field trips! I would have to say the biggest positive is the open communication between the staff and parents. I feel like they truly know what my kids are doing during the day there. The staff is great at spotting re-occuring behavior issues, and never hesitate to call me if there is a question about any out-of-the-ordinary behavior (potty accidents, lethargy, injuries, fighting, etc.) Parents receive daily reports about what the child ate for meals/snacks, # of diaper changes, activities performed, and other relevant information. If there is even a minor injury we receive a write-up about the incident - it's usually just 'kids being kids' kind of stuff, but it is still wonderful to know that they're keeping a watchful eye in those situations. We started attending based on positive recommendations from a couple of my colleagues, and I have recommended WeeKare to two of my close friends whose children now attend. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend WeeKare to ANY parent. Overall, I have been over-the-moon about our experience at WeeKare: it's a working parents' dream!

We had our infant enrolled at Here We Grow in Fargo, ND and it was a horrible experience. I have…read moremy child development credential and worked as a preschool teacher for 7 years so I'm very aware of licesening guidelines and standards of care for a daycare centers and I witness so many violations it was beyond disturbing. The place is absolutely gross, I witness on several occasions staff changing diapers with out gloves and not washing their hands afterwards and or cleaning the changing table. The frig, cribs, bouncey, and jumpers were filthy - in fact the whole center was filthy. On a daily basis I'd see children being fed bottle's in the bouncers, there was usually 3-4 teachers and 12 - 16 infants and only one chair for the staff to utilize. There was no play mats for them to lay on so my infant pretty much lived in a bouncer when he was at daycare, or was laid on the dirty hard floor. The infants shared cribs and the bedding was not changed or flipped between use. On several occasions there would be 5-6 infants and only one teacher, licensing ratio is 1:4. The worst part was several of the staff in the infant room smoked and you could smell it as soon as you walked into to the room. I'm sorry but if you smoke and your hair, clothes, and breath smell like smoke you shouldn't be caring for infants - that's dangerous. On one occasion I picked up our son and he had bleach spots on his bib. When I questioned how he came in contact with bleach they had no explanation and their response to my question was that they would pay to replace the bib, I don't give a crap about the bib, I care that my infant was exposed to bleach to the point it ended up on his clothing in your care. Needless to say we pulled our child out of there as soon as we could find another opening at a center in town. I personally and professionally feel like this place should be shut down.
