This brewery was chill. I had a flight and my husband had a pour of the Barreless Milk Stout. The flights come with 5 selections, I selected the Mike's Banana Hamik, Hazelnut Toffee Porter, 60 Watt IPA, Hell of a Day IPA and Watermelon Crawl. All were good but my favorite was the banana witbier (shockingly). If you want to sit inside or outside you have options. Went for a beer with my husband. The entrance is a side door which makes it feel like a speak easy which is cool! We walked in and ordered two beers. I ordered the orange cream ale and my husband ordered the 60 watt IPA. Beers were drinkable, service was fast, the only thing lacking was ambience. Very industrial with no true theme. I came to celebrate my 35th birthday, which also happened to be the brewery's anniversary. They have a great beer selection and I wasn't disappointed by any of the brews I tried. HOWEVER, the only issue I had is the individual that checked my ID. I have a new DC drivers license, so I'm understand that most people haven't came in contact with them yet, however when I showed my ID I was told "I can't accept this". When I asked why, I was told "we just can't accept them". Eventually after speaking with someone else my ID was verified BUT I still haven't received an explanation as to why my ID initially wasn't excepted. I reallllyyy hope it wasn't racially based, but considering I'm a women of color and the individual was not I don't know what else it could be. My fellow paratroopers, just know that this establishment does not support us. On Saturday 08/08 the owner tried to give us a talk saying that he does not care about our business. He stated that Army Paratroopers destroy his property and he does NEED our business. He said that Army Paratroopers are nothing but disrespectful to his establishment. As a retired E7 he claims he knows the Fort Bragg Corps Commander and can put in a bad word for any of us. I urge you to stay away from this establishment as they do not need our business anyways. I really liked coming here when they first opened but recently the bartenders, especially the one that also works at Paddy's has serious attitude. She isn't friendly and although we love coming here, unfriendly bartenders ruin the reputation for the establishment. I think we will likely find somewhere else to go. read more

My boyfriend and I walked in and sat down at the bar with no one else there and didn't get so much as a hello; a crowd came in a few seconds after us and formed a "line" at the register and the beer tender took care of every single person in the line (10+ people) over a course of 5-7 minutes before they even acknowledged us. Then we asked for tasters of the beers, got the tasters, got ignored again for a couple minutes and finally got our orders. It was mildly annoying and frustrating. I'm so excited Fayetteville finally has a place like Bright Like Brewing. This is what Downtown Fayetteville has been really missing. A cool, down to earth, fun craft brewery where you just want to hang out with your friends and have a few drinks. I had the pleasure to meet one of the owners and he was a very nice guy. I couldn't be happier for these guys and to have them downtown. I've been impressed on every visit to see how lively the place is and full of people. I've been to many different breweries in many other cities and hoped our city would have a place like it and now it does! The beer is great, the staff is awesome, and the vibe is cool. I was excited to learn of a new place in Fayetteville and I was happy to see it was started by a military veteran..unfortunately, that is not enough to draw us back. We stopped in yesterday to check it out. The service was an immediate turn off. The bartender was surly and sullen and really seemed like serving her customers was an imposition. If I wanted to be greeted with a negative attitude and unhappy face, I'd go to work! It was also weird to see several young children running around..I guess that is ok in NC law? I really don't understand why someone who benefits (Tips) by having an engaging or at least polite demeanor chooses to be rude to customers. It's like shooting yourself in the foot...stupid and costly. Advice: smile, be polite, engage your customers and they will not only spend more money in your place, they will give you better tips and recommend the place to their friends. I've had 2 different experiences. One with the guys on a Friday night and one with the family on a Sunday afternoon, both were great. They make great beer, the atmosphere is dog, family, and cigar friendly. They have live music. The owner is amazingly friendly and accommodating. He saw me and my friends standing and brought us stools. Today he started up the Wii and brought my son the remote. Can't say enough about how welcoming he is. My favorite part is the food trucks. Every night of the week it's like a different place because you can get different types of food. In town for a week and being a craft enthusiast I had to check it out.... considering it's the only brewery I could find in Fayetville .Brewery location downtown just opened but the space is awesome. Nice outside patio area. There was a food truck there while I was there. The inside was nicely setup. Staff was extremely friendly and happy to be doing what their doing. They will be brewing onsite in about a month when the equipment arrives. Friendly people, dog friendly, family friendly (usually doesn't mix with breweries but it flowed extremely well with board games and the couch sitting area to entertain them). The back patio is large and great to hang out on. Location is right downtown and perfect for pre baseball game drinks. However, their current beers were not great. I appreciate the attempt to make craft beer but it just missed the mark. Good news is they have guest taps that can off set this. Hopefully this was just an off time for their beers.
