From Elizabeth at the front desk (who worked so hard to accommodate my schedule), to my hygienist Connie (extremely thorough, answered all my many questions and gave me some great tips), to Dr. Kate Tao, who was extremely personable and took the time to review my past records as well as give me a general sense for what to expect over the coming years--a truly wonderful practice that I can't recommend highly enough. 10/10!

But obviously it's important to go. Moving to a new town means starting over and I got a recommendation from a friend who also had bad experiences in the past, so I decided to give Covin Tao Dentistry a try. I've been several times now- for emergencies, like losing or breaking a crown, and also for checkups. I think I can now say that I can trust them and I can highly recommend them! This practice is recommended in many local Facebook groups as a place where the staff are gentle- I agree that this is the case after multiple visits. I really appreciate this. They seem to understand dental anxiety. :) I also deeply appreciate that they don't recommend a lot of extra things and don't seem to be focused on money; this is a huge relief to me. They don't pressure you and mostly don't shame you (although of course they are very focused on flossing education!) Their offices are very nice too. There are three doctors in the practice and they are all related! I think this is sweet and cool. Dr. Colvin is the husband, Dr. Tao is the wife, and then Dr. Kate is their daughter! I haven't met Dr. Tao yet but people RAVE about her! Dr. Colvin has been my primary dentist and he is very good, has a quirky personality, and really seems to know his stuff. When I had a crown fall out on a Friday after they were closed, because I am a patient with them, they arranged for someone to meet me at the office which I was SO grateful for! I got to meet Dr. Kate and found her absolutely delightful- gentle, kind, personable, funny, and she made the process not painful and quick- I was very impressed and I've had NO issues since! I really appreciated their customer service in helping me after hours and that I didn't have to wait all weekend for an appointment. Their communication was excellent too. The staff all seem friendly. I had a great experience yesterday with Courtney, a hygienist. I was impressed by her and didn't feel shamed in how she talked to me which was refreshing. Overall I am thankful to find a dental office that I feel I can trust and hopefully from now on won't dread going to! I encourage you to give them a try.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I'd been given a clean bill of health while underlying issues persisted. My wife, a retired dental hygienist, and I decided it was time to seek out better care--and we're incredibly grateful to have found it at Corera Family Dentistry. I had previously lost a tooth and received an implant, which later became the source of infection. During my consultation, Dr. Seibold was thoughtful, thorough, and collaborative. After reviewing panoramic X-rays and consulting directly with the oral surgeon who placed the implant, he carefully considered my case. Ultimately, Dr. Seibold determined that a more specialized dentist would be best equipped to manage my unique situation and referred me accordingly. What stood out most was the time he took to personally explain everything in detail and the integrity he showed by prioritizing my health over simply keeping my case in-house. His commitment to quality patient care, professionalism, and honesty is exceptional. Dr. Seibold and Corera Family Dentistry are the kind of providers you want in your corner--and the ones I will wholeheartedly refer to others.

I found all the women staff at the front desk/ hygienists to be good at their jobs too. Unfortunately, last May I received a text cancellation within less than 24 hours (they bill customers for a cancellation less than 24 hours). I knew it wasn't right, but I moved on with my schedule until the next day when the front desk woman started texting me again saying that she could "uncancel" (yes, she made up that word) my appointment otherwise she will make my account inactive. She won't offer me any other times or dates, she forcefully wanted me to take back the appointment she canceled herself. You can't mess up and expect customers to clean up your mess. What pushed me away from this dental office was to see how this person would feel so entitled to manipulate another person's schedule on her own terms and be openly and confidently BITTER. Ultimately, I hold responsible the 2 dentists for not following with quality assurance with her. She was texting this unprofessional way to a customer of 10 years, and they didn't even have a clue. I have principles.

BILL THOMPSON did work on me and I went back 3 times bc something wasn't right. Then he left to go out of town for 3 weeks and the office was closed. He abandons his patients when they are in pain. I had to go to a new office and get a root canal and whole new crown bc of what bill THOMPSON did to me. He took no accountability and left me in pain. Be careful, you are paying this crook for him to take lavish vacations. Their billing is also fraudulent. If you take the risk to go here make sure you get the cost UP FRONT and in WRITING

I was never informed I was out of network or the cost associated with it, not before or after my appointment. The cleaning went well although I waited over 30min for the doctor to preform the exam. I attempted to leave and the hygienist rushed the doctor into the room and he rushed through the exam. I received a bill a month and a half later for $143.13. When I called to ask why I was never informed I was out of network I was told "most patients don't mind paying the extra money" and they could offer a discount of 50% off or I could try reaching out to my insurance or the doctor. I asked to speak with the doctor since I expected to spend $0 and the receptionist(Tori) was unable to explain why I wasn't informed prior to my departure of the visit about the cost. I was told that I could email the doctor but if the receptionist gave him my name and number he likely would not be able to call me since he is very busy. I received a phone call later in the day from the receptionist Tori saying she spoke with the doctor and he said the bill I received is what is due, so they removed the 50% off I was offered on the last phone call. She at first told me the 50% off was removed because I was unhappy paying half then corrected herself and said it was never a set discount, she asked the doctor and he declined it. I'm not sure why any office would treat their new patients this way and then be so careless about how the issue is resolved. Extremely unprofessional and shady! I should have been informed upon booking that my insurance was out of network! It also makes no sense to me why the doctor would have time to read and respond to emails yet not be able to talk on the phone. Definitely would not recommend anyone to go here.

I got surgery for 3 wisdom teeth and was very pleased not only by the staff's professionalism but the un-matched customer service I received. My surgery was in the morning and by end of business day Dr. Kunkel himself called my mobile to check up on me. Not his nurse, not his receptionist. He called personally, I thought that was a nice touch. They sent me home with a tiny ice pack (nor super practical but very appreciated nonetheless), clear concise instructions on after care and the tools I needed to take care of my post op. The pain meds I received were really not strong enough to eliminate my pain, nor did I have enough. But since I had an adverse reaction to the opioids it really did not matter much to me...I actually stop taking them quite early in the healing process. I think this may be a negative for some, if they think they'll get massive amount of maximum strength opioids. But I actually think this is a positive, as it tells me they are careful with dosage and amounts of opioids prescribed here. I think many docs in the past have been too loose with opioids prescriptions which in turn contributed greatly to the current epidemic. Three days after surgery I received a get well card in the mail signed by the entire team. I have to say that was so nice. I have unfortunately been seeing a lot of dental practitioners in the past 2 years and this was quite a novelty. Again, nice touch. A week post surgery I went in for my checkup. After 15 minutes one of the nurses came out to let us know that the current surgery had incurred in some complications so Dr. Kunkel was now running a full 30 minutes behind schedule. She apologized and left. The receptionist asked some patients if they preferred to reschedule all together, leave and come back in about 30 minutes or so or if they preferred to wait. Most preferred to wait since they did not have anywhere close by to go. I did not have the option either. I just settled in for the wait. Less than 5 minutes later she came out and gave each of us a Starbucks gift card. Her opening was: I understand that your time is just as precious as our time, and although surgeries are unpredictable and the wait could not be avoided, we'd like to give you this little token of our appreciation for your wait. I mean, when does that EVER happen? Anyways, like I said, top notch customer service. This place is what oral surgery clinicians should use as their guidelines for a successful practice.
