The teachers are so wonderful - I can personally vouch for the magic of Mrs. Anderson, Campbell, Parkman, McElroy and Blankenship. The co- op has existed for 50+ years and I periodically meet grown-ups around town who light up at the mention of it and say "I went there!" with a big grin. The curriculum is play based and rich in fun and foundational tactile experiences, they have a lovely outdoor play area in a protected courtyard, music time each class and they do wonderfully unusual but age appropriate projects with the kids ( making root beer from scratch, carpentry, a take apart day where kids get a chance to disassemble things like keyboards and toasters). The preschool shares a facility with West Side Church and warmly welcomes families to join in other church sponsored activities but save for the "thank you words before snack" (grace) the classes are completely secular and a very comfortable for families of any belief.

The classrooms are filthy, staff are rude, and management seems to just sit in their office all day. I've heard teachers radioing for help (back-up in the classroom) only to walk by the office 10 minutes later and see no rush or no movement to help the teachers. No wonder staff turnover is so high! Most of the staff who work at this facility have little to no educational accreditation. YIKES.

The teachers work very well with parents and go above and beyond to ensure that each child is successful. The program is fun for the children as they learn social and behavioral skills needed when they begin kindergarten. Their teaching techniques are research based and the wealth of curriculum they incorporate exceeds basic letter and number recognition.
