A Gilmore Girls festival takes place there, usually in the fall. Their town green has a gazebo that looks like the gazebo on the fictional Stars Hollow. I am a fan of GG so I was excited to explore the town. They had a great little downtown with shops, restaurants, and more. I also love the historic architecture. It's a beautiful town with tons of amenities. Yes, worth a visit!

The tracking isn't 100% accurate but is good enough to help you figure out how to get out. - We almost always go on Columbus Day. Because it's a holiday weekend they typically have live music. - they include a tractor hay ride with admission, as well as hay bales for the kids to climb on and other fun lawn games. - there is food, snacks and a small farmers market/produce stand. - Admission price isn't too bad - $19.95/adult and only $4.95/kids. - there's sufficient parking! If you're in the area - or even an hour drive away - The Farm is a great place for Fall fun for the whole family!

The main board you get is usually very big so we were bumping into each other a lot. Then when it came to drying there was only a small space where a fan could fit and all the boards crammed there (aka, mine didn't dry much). Basically this location is really small which makes it really loud! This doesn't have to do with this location but the company chooses way too small of fonts and images sometimes that it's basically impossible to peel. Then the blue adhesive side doesn't stick well to the stained wood. Therefore, my paint work always looks messy. I heard If you do like a white wash over the stain it sticks better? But I don't always like the look of it. They need to have thicker lettering and stronger adhesive! Still it's a fun activity to do with friends!

Go see this guy! From the lawn you can NOT see the stage! The pitch of the lawn isn't high enough to provide you even a glimpse. I noticed that all 100 lawn ticket holders were grouped into a tiny little pocket which provided a peek (IF everyone below was seated and you were standing)! Obviously they had been there before. Very unfair to even offer lawn admission unless you state visibility is next to nil. I ran into a friend who switched tickets with me for about a half-hour who had seats on the aisle in the 4th row. Note to those purchasing (seated) tickets, and down front. TINY HINEY! The chairs are tiny folding chairs zip-tied together! More importantly, Ives staff apparently doesn't care if people from the back of the venue (seated area) run down and fill in the aisles closer to the stage! These dancing idiots ruined my experience and certainly those of others going back at least 10 more rows. My friend later said he could hear people in front of him complaining and even watched a fight almost break out. This falls on people just being rude and disrespectful, but Security (what exists) does need to step in and keep the back half of the venue from rushing down and filling in the aisles! Concessions? Ice Cream, Hot Dogs, Seafood (?) and Beer. Let me think, did I forget anything? NO!

Boy was I happy, when Frank L. posted about his Lions Club car show. I haven't been to a show in…read morequite a few years. From an outsiders point of view, this event was run exceptionally well. Signs along the route to the show, marked where to go. The men and women assisting with the parking, were professional and communicated well. The staff at the entry were very friendly (and funny). The entry fee was reasonable, at $5 for adults and $1 for kids under 10. Food and drinks were purchased with tickets. I found this to be much easier than fishing around for money in my purse. Each ticket cost $1. There were a few vendors set up, selling everything from model cars to Pampered Chef. The location was ideal for us, because there was a playground that my son got to use. He was able to burn off some of his cotton candy high. The music was a great mix of upbeat tunes. While the volume was perfect out in the field with the cars, it was much louder by the stage. There was a great variety of cars; from the very old to the newer models, trucks, motorcycles and even a stagecoach. The owners were very friendly and even offered my three year old son, the chance to sit in the prized possessions. This is a great event for the whole family. I look forward to going next year!

The best part about it is that you can choose what you'd like to do if you aren't interested in the dry rides at all you can pay for a one park ticket and stay at the waterpark the entire day. In addition to this if you won't be going to the waterpark and will only be watching your child in the dry park you can get in without a ticket. Which I believe is a phenomenal policy that a lot more parks should begin to implement. The food is good and so are the sweet treats that you can find around the park. The lake is also a nice spot to relax with shallow water which again is perfect for children/new swimmers. However, it is very small and can get crowded.
