I was referred to Hope from some source that I cannot recall. We spoke and I found her to be very compassionate and sensitive to our situation. She was unavailable for counseling but recommended others for family counseling and play therapy within the agency. Appointments were arranged and we really felt as though we were getting good advice to get a handle on our new family dynamic. Everything was going well until we received a charge onto our credit card for almost $500. We disputed the charge and Hope refunded the money for the moment. We quickly found out that they were charging our sessions incorrectly to our insurance. Instead of sending individual claims based on who was actually receiving counseling, they were sending all claims under my husbands name. So after the first of the year, all accounts went back to zero and we were responsible for our deductible but only my husbands account was being drawn upon. When the insurance became aware if this, they sent back all of the claims, which made us responsible for all visits. Hope also suddenly refused to use our nephew's name as a recipient of care under our insurance based on the fact that "he was too young for a diagnosis" after 5 visits, meaning that he would be ineligible for reimbursement by insurance. Never once, within 5 visits, was this mentioned as being an issue. In the meantime they have started charging our account again without our approval. They are refusing to use our nephews name, their patient who had been seen several times alone in play therapy, as the person being treated. Hope apologized for the inconvenience, which really doesn't help considering all that we have been through trying to come to terms with our sisters death, a 3 yr old with health and trauma issues, and mounting medical and court fees related to all of this. My advice, stay away from her services, as they will not hesitate to screw you over in your worst time of need

Dr. Major specializes in clinical psychology and psychopharmacology, which was helpful as besides being an excellent therapist, he is extremely knowledgeable about medication management. Dr. Major helped me not only navigate the tumultuous emotions my separation was inducing, but also helped me work on things that allowed me to feel more empowered as a suddenly single adult, a parent, an employee and as a woman. My children also received treatment from the other two doctors in the practice, Dr. Kelly Bolger and Dr. Rebecca Smith. I cannot begin to express how caring they were and how integral they were in helping my children negotiate the complex world of divorce. They also helped us in dealing with some academic concerns, that led us to a previously undiagnosed learning disorder, which has been life-changing. They are in-network with BCBS and conveniently located on Jackson right off St. Charles.
