I had a few small and fairly unimportant issues while I was here but to me the most important thing…read moreis that the room was spacious and mostly clean. They are dog friendly with a $35 pet fee and that's important to me as well. The printer in the business center didn't work. Front desk staff said it was out of ink. The ice machine on my floor was out of order so I had to go to another floor every time I needed ice. The breakfast is nice but unfortunately during my stay the pancake maker wasn't working correctly, They had biscuits but no gravy and there were no juices on offer so your choices are coffee or tea. I thought the shower pan was stained but when I was in the shower I I scrubbed it a bit with my foot and the dirt came up. Everything else seemed clean though. None of those things are very important when you get a great night's sleep in a clean comfortable bed, which I did, so I left content and will probably stay here again in the future.

But we were warm and cosy in our large, comfortable room. They have a good pool (although it's unheated) and a decent gym. As several other reviewers have mentioned already, the breakfast was one of the best parts of our stay! They had some healthy options, like oatmeal and egg white omelets, while they also had gluten free bagels! Thank you! It'd be great if they'd offer some vegan options too. The breakfast manager Linda is a true gem! She's so kind and helpful. Give the delightful Linda a raise! We'd definitely stay here again.

Two parts, restaurant and hotel…read more Restaurant: provides a place to hang your coat, has boosters and high chairs, and has magazines and papers available for guest use. Kids menu is complete (fish, chicken, grilled cheese, spaghetti, pb&j), and is reasonably priced. Kids meal comes with a free ice cream with good behavior. Water tastes good! Hotel: So funny, I thought our room smelled great, my husband thought it smelled like they were trying to cover a stinky smell with a good smell. It is an older hotel, but clean and tidy. Fridge and microwave in room. No ice maker in the area yet, so guests can get ice in the store. Movies and bluray for rent, but players not available in room (you had to have your own). Unfortunately, when we woke up in the morning, we were both in so much pain we thought it would be days before we felt better. Our backs were killing us. The price was right, in a pretty remote area, with pretty good amenities, but the beds were painful. I know everyone has different bed preferences though, so this may not be a problem for others.

Under new management/name. Now Riverside Motel. While I know little of the motel portion, the…read moreconvenience store has a large quantity of beverages, both soft and alcoholic. Tobacco products are also available for those that partake. While the food in the restaurant portion is fairly good, at a somewhat higher price, a warning must be given about the Sunday buffet. It runs from 11 AM to 2 PM, has a fairly large selection of food (including ham and roast beef carving station), they tend to overdo it with the chopped green peppers in many of the dishes. They use the dried, chopped, commercial variety, which would not be so bad in itself, but they tend to use too many in the dishes where they are used, and the taste can become overpowering. I have no quarrel with the wait staff, as they have always acted professionally with me. I also have nothing against the menu items, but there are a few other places in town where I would rather eat.
