This review is loooong overdue! I've suffered with migraines off an on for over 10 years now. I had never tried acupuncture before but had several reccomendations for it to alleviate migraines. To be honest, I didn't think it was possible...until now. I started seeing Amanda over a year ago when my migraines became frequent, sometimes lasting days at a time. First I went in weekly, then bi-weekly and before I knew it voila! I couldn't remember the last time I'd had a bad migraine! It seememd months had gone by. Once I had things under control she recommended I could just come back for a "tune-up" as needed. Well, one year goes by before I realize the migraines seem to be coming back. I'm in a new job and feeling more stress. It wasn't until I had the three-day migraine that I knew needed Amanda again (what was I waiting for??). That was yesterday, and today, I feel 100% again. I don't want to say I believe in miracles but I now believe in acupuncture and it's healing capabilities. And even more, I believe in Amanda and the care and warmth she brings with her. She's one of those wonderful, nurturing people who don't just want to fix the problem on the surface but really wants to get to the cause and discuss what's most important: YOU. I was traveling in Northern CA over the holidays and had to find someone to help me out. . . and I found Amanda Sullivan the acupuncturist. She treated me for stress and fatigue and her approach totally works! She is assertive and gentle and you can tell she really cares about her patients. The office is convenient and professional (and easy to park at!) the treatment room is private but in a shared space with an OBGYN so it's really high level. I had a bad case of sciatica from my work. I went to a chiropractor which releived the pain for about a week. The next time I worked it came back with a fury. At 75 I've racked up a few snapped rubber bands with torn this and that plus some incidental nerve damage compliments of a surgery; consequently, I receive treatments for chronic pain. I get significant pain relief, better range of motion and an improved mental attitude without drugs. My treatments are provided through the VA CHOICE program. Amanda works closely with the VA Community Care Office and Tri-West to assure authorizations are in place to maintain my continuity of care. I highly recommend disabled veterans (authorized care under CHOICE) request acupuncture as mode of treatment for pain, and I suggest Bridge Wellness as the provider. It is almost impossible for me to put into words what a phenomenal practitioner Amanda of Bridge Wellness is, and how grateful I am for her expertise in so many areas. Amanda is the best! I feel so fortunate to have found her and I cannot recommend her highly enough! amanda is a true gem! i went to her a year ago after struggling with undefined dizziness. after a few sessions my months of paralyzing dizziness had greatly subsided. she also recommended a variety of techniques to employ on my own, which is indicative of her vast knowledge of not only acupuncture but holistic practices in general. i have continued to see her for a variety of ailments (any excuse to spend an hour of relaxation in her office!) all of which have significantly improved after one session (especially the winter flu!). amanda takes the time to see the client as a whole person and prescribe research-based alternative medicine strategies.
